Brian Cooney Photography: Mark Nixon
http://briancooneyphotography.blogspot.com/2010/09/mark-nixon.html
There was an error in this gadget. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Although I haven't seen him for a long, long time, I consider Mark Nixon. Both a friend and an inspiration. He was the photographer at our wedding a few years ago and he is both an excellent photographer and a real people person. He has a gift for putting people at ease and capturing the essence of whoever is on the other side of the lens. I really like this set of photos of Sharon Corr. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

It was the most amazing sunset set I have seen in a long time without a breath of wind to ruffle the water. I had previously visited this spot a few months ago and came back for a look. Being in the right place at the right time. Links to this post. Although I haven't seen him for a long, long time, I consider Mark Nixon. Links to this post. Found the work of Matt Stuart. The first one is my unsharpened version. Unsharpened version. No noise reduction, no sharpening. The second version has been slightly sharpened in Lightroom, the slider is set for 25. When I zoom in on the screen I can just make out a very small difference between the two on my screen but it’s practicaly unnoticeable. You are c...

Adjusted using the channel adjustment tools. First set to monochrome then adjusting the RGB sliders to get the image the way I wanted it. It was a quick and easy adjustment. The red channel seemed to have a much greater effect on the highlights. This may also be because the original file was a tiny bit underexposed. Create a free w...

Photography, people and place. Just another WordPress.com site. Next Post →. August 13, 2012. Some quotes from the book of essays that I like. They went some way to helping me answer the question of why bother taking/making photographs.
