Thursday, September 23, 2010. Now and Then - Camping with Toddlers. So sorry for the huge. Delay in blogging. I really feel like I'm neglecting my dear readers that actually take the time to read! This month has been crazy hectic with my shop. The first half of the month was spent in a crocheting frenzy stressing out about show #3 (which was a big bust! This year, we were camping with toddlers. Learning to stand up. In fact, I believe they both stood unsupported for the first time during our trip! We kne...

Twenty Something: July 2011

Saturday, July 23, 2011. Yesterday morning, when we woke up, we discovered that for the first time in over a week, we had gorgeous blue skies. While the rain last week was a welcome change after such a dry summer, the sun that followed was almost more welcome! We decided during coffee that we would take off for the day and hit the beach for a little fun in the sun. It was such a relaxing day, something we've all needed for awhile after the stresses of a job hunt. Plans to do so! Saturday, July 16, 2011.

Friday, December 24, 2010. He's making a list, checking it twice. Gonna find out who's naughty or nice. Santa Claus is coming to town! I can hear the bells on Santa's sleigh already! He'll be here before we know it! For the first year, Addie will really understand what's going on in the morning. I must say, Christmas as a parent is almost more fun than Christmas as a kid. We've had Addie's gifts from Santa tucked away for weeks just itching to hand them out early, but we're resisted! Warning: If you're n...

Sunday, November 21, 2010. Putting Her to Work. Well, Addie's second birthday has come and gone. One of her gifts from us was a toddler camera. I'm happy to say it's given her hours. For instance, the other day I had several items to photograph for CUTEure Creations. And a very busy, hyper toddler to manage outside as well. We've been having a hard time dealing with her running away from us as soon as we're somewhere she can't. Run away (parking lots, busy shows, the mall, the road. Putting Her to Work.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. How to Make Homemade Laundry Detergent. I talk a lot about making my own cleaners here. There are a lot of reasons to make your own cleaners, but in today's economy, I think the strongest persuasion is the price. One of my new favorite cleaners is a DIY natural laundry soap that I found browsing Pintrest. You'll only need three. Ingredients to make this laundry detergent:. Fels Naptha Soap (or any other mild soap). Washing Soda-I use Arm and Hammer. Once you've got it mixed w...

Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Have I Told You . (kind of). Have I Told you. This isn't going to be my typical Wednesday post. I've been a crazy mess the last couple weeks and haven't been in my usual upbeat writing mood! There are still so many unanswered questions and I am seeking prayer and comfort, that we may never have the answers we seek. She was a great friend, mother, sister. With this said, I continue to pray for comfort for her husband, children, family and friends. Until we meet again. I'm sur...

Thursday, February 24, 2011. Sure Enough, Snow. Well, sure enough.we've got snow. In late February even. It started mid-morning yesterday and has been snowing off and on for the last 24 hours. My front yard has turned into a bit of a winter wonderland. It's quite beautiful, depending on your tastes. Now my inner Texan is kicking and screaming like a 2 year old in a candy aisle. To snow in almost-March! A reason to look good in a bikini again! I'm tired of hats (okay, not really! Monday, February 14, 2011.

Well, Zeke is almost 5 months old. Where has the time gone? He is definitely our noisiest child. I know Hazel was noisy, and has always been a talker, and Zeb only screamed and squealed. For the longest time, but Zeke doesn't stop making noise. Even when he was born he was making all sorts of noises. I called him our little Squeaker.
