Tuesday, August 31, 2004. So, I have been trying, to no avail, to make Indian food. I mean, I make it, it's just not very good. I've even bought cookbooks with names like Yes, Even You There, Who I Can Tell From Here Just Isn't Good At This, Can Make Excellent Indian Food Simply By Holding This Book. My best attempt so far has probably been the spinach paneer, which did indeed require me to make my own Indian cheese, and I might try to perfect that one and talk about it. Sunday, July 18, 2004. We went to a friend's house for dinner last night, so we made these mashed potatoes to bring along. There were six of us, and we had about half left over, so the recipe could probably be downsized unless it's Thanksgiving or something. So good though. 13 servings instant mashed potatoes (I made them a little thicker than you normally would; I used skim milk, but regular butter; I bet they would have been fine with something light). A package of chopped chives. 1/2 tsp onion powder.

Cauliflower Crust Hawaiian Pizza. This is the best invention ever: Cauliflower Crust Pizza. Yes, you heard that right… pizza crust made out of cauliflower. I saw it on Beth’s blog. And she got the idea from a friend who got the idea from a low-carb bulletin board. It’s apparently been an idea that has been floating around for a while, but I’ve just gotten wind of it and I’m sure glad I did. This stuff is (shockingly) good! I topped mine Hawaiian style. This entire thing is incredibly simple to make!

Half and Half (optional). 1 Put 4-5 medium sized scoops of the Snickers ice cream into a blender. 2 Also put 2-3 medium sized scoops of chocolate ice cream the blender. 3 If you would like the milkshake to be a bit creamier, add in a small splash of milk or Half and Half. 4 Next, add the ice cubes. Blend them enough so that the milkshake is runny, the substance should be thick.
