The Recipe Nest

Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Gnocchi with Kale and Squash. I can't take any credit for this recipe, as I got it from the newest issue of Food Network Magazine. But it was delicious and I had to share! It was very quick and easy to make, full of flavor, and enough for dinner for 2 and some leftovers. The only change I made was to add 1/2 an onion, diced, and I left out the sage, as it's not one of my favorite spices. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter. 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced. The Recipe Nest: Angel Chicken Pasta

http://therecipenest.blogspot.com/2011/06/angel-chicken-pasta.html

Thursday, June 2, 2011. This is a recipe that I've had in my book for what feels like forever now, and I've always been afraid to try it. I even bought all the ingredients. and didn't make it for nearly three more weeks, until there was nothing else in the house to cook for dinner. And boy do I regret that, because it was delicious! We were a little disappointed that there weren't quite enough leftovers for a second dinner, but with a few alterations, you could change that easily enough. 188; cup butter.

Penne with Shrimp and Herbed Cream Sauce. February 2, 2011. Okay, I have a confession. I hated seafood growing up and all the way until I was about 26ish. What changed? I stopped being a baby. I met Mr. B and moved 1500 miles away to Louisiana, the home of AMAZING food. Mr. B started slowly with me. I first started eating crawfish each spring…and it was so spicy and good! I craved it. Next up…fried shrimp. Yum! I also now eat salmon and crab. Delish! Stopped setting things on fire. 1/4 cup olive oil.
