Adventures of the ReelOutdoors: July 2007

http://thereeloutdoors.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Adventures of the ReelOutdoors. Follow me on some of my many adventures. Saturday, July 21, 2007. I got a couple of pictures of the Pinedrops that that we had seen the time before, but had not been out in bloom yet. We then stopped to take a look at the Candystick that was also farther along its life cycle. The Coralroot's had all gone into the seed pod stage. You can learn more about this rarely seen plat at Botanical Society of America. Very cool looking flower. Until next time. Happy trails! I find it...

Adventures of the ReelOutdoors: January 2009

http://thereeloutdoors.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

Adventures of the ReelOutdoors. Follow me on some of my many adventures. Wednesday, January 14, 2009. Need to get off my butt. I've been kinda lazy over the past few weeks.err, months. Not that I don't have the desire to get out and do something. It just seems that between the holidays, the weather, and what ever other excuse you might think of has hindered my ambition to get out and do something active. As another form of potential motivation, I picked myself up a new toy. The Nike. Links to this post.

Rob and Don making their way up the hill. Don, Eric, and Rob taking a break at the fork. Rooster Rock, across the way. Eric taking in the view. Links to this post.

Adventures of the ReelOutdoors. Follow me on some of my many adventures. Monday, September 3, 2007. Climbing in Leavenworth WA 2007 (with the OMC crew). We hit the 'Alphabet. Rock' first. Our first climb turned out to be a little more than a simple warm up. Greg leading 'Meat Grinder'. Myself working on 'Meat Grinder' (thinking "this seems harder then a 5.8"). Jodie on 'Meat Grinder'. Jodie, don't stop now you're almost there. Greg getting comfortable while on belay for Jodie. Rock' and set up some top r...

Adventures of the ReelOutdoors: March 2008

http://thereeloutdoors.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Adventures of the ReelOutdoors. Follow me on some of my many adventures. Sunday, March 23, 2008. Climbing at Smith Rock, Easter Weekend 2008. The weather was looking promising for Saturday, so Greg. Jodie, Trisha and I decided to head for Smith Rock for an awesome day of climbing. We all met at Greg's. Jodie showing us how it is done! Trisha wouldn't let that rock get the best of her. For being her first time climbing outdoors, Trisha climbed like a pro. Showing the rock who was boss! Links to this post.

Testing The Waters: White Salmon River: Green Truss

http://molallakayaker.blogspot.com/2007/07/green-truss.html

Friday, July 20, 2007. White Salmon River: Green Truss. The put-in requires a little bit of a sketchy climb down a steep hill. We of course had our share of mishaps as two of the boats fell about 20' and. Took off down the river. Thanks to Tony who jumped in after them, we didn't have to go far to catch up to our boats. (Mine being one of them). Ryan Cole firing up Big Brother. The author giving it a try. Gary on Little Brother with Big Brother in the background. Ryan Cole's run through Double Drop.

The Reel Perspectives

My Life as a Film Critic. The film industry is one that I’ve always paid a lot of attention to. In particular, I’ve always been interested in contemporary cinema. This means that, from a young age, I’ve followed the critical reception of films. In my youth, I’d excitedly read the entertainment section of the Winnipeg Free Press. Watching 200 movies in 8 months is tough. During the summer before my second year, I watched a movie almost every day (two movies on the weekend! 2011, USA/United Arab Emirates.
