Ss & Ts: January 2008
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Beach Day Courtesy of MLK Jr! We love to have a reason to go to the beach! Combine company with an extra day off school and we will find some sunshine! We had to haul a couple of boys back to the beach for this picture:. Grandma chases Tanner back to safer waters - he's our fearless kid, thinking he's as big and experienced as Teagan and Grandpa, who were out with boogie boards quite a way from the shore (or at least too far for a 5 year old! Uncle Brad keeps cool in the shade!

Ss & Ts: December 2007
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 29, 2007. Christmas Eve means a large gathering of family and friends outside in our yard and pavilion. As always, there was tons of delicious food (reputation still intact! And our nativity scene went really well- with Luana in charge, working her magic! For the first time, the live nativity had a real live baby! This is little Issac, Jared's 5 week old son. Issac was a very cooperative baby and slept so peacefully! A couple of kids wouldn't participate, (note Staci's absence! The cam...

Ss & Ts: What a Monday. . .So Far...
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2009/02/what-monday-so-far.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. What a Monday. . .So Far. We are having a Monday. That word should describe it fairly well. At 5:30 this morning, the alarm went off. As I got up to deal with it, I could see lights and hear that Teagan was up and getting ready for seminary. Good. I listened to him drive away. When the middle school called to let us know that Talmage is sick - cold, pale, with a little bit of a stomach ache. They are on their way home now. On the NOT bright side: it's only 9:50 am on a MONDAY!

Ss & Ts: The Judo Rainbow
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2009/01/judo-rainbow.html
Saturday, January 17, 2009. We had judo promotion last week and here are the results: Teagan is a green belt, Talmage and blue, and Taggart is orange! Sydni, sitting on my lap, commented, "Mommy, look at the rainbow belts! And she was right - we were only missing the purple belt among our boys, at least from the colors awarded that night. We are proud of our boys! And they LOVE this sport! January 18, 2009 at 7:58:00 AM PST. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My Ocean of Notions. Joy in the Journey.

Ss & Ts: September 2007
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 10, 2007. This spring, Teagan started judo. Then, at the end of the school year, Taggart and Talmage decided to join in too. They LOVE it! They practice outside on the lawn a couple of times a week and so far, the only casualty has been that Taggart has a talent for stepping on bees. They have a great sensei and they are learning the whole respect and honor thing. They all look forward for the testing that will earn them their colored belts. And that is for 2 two-hour sessions a week!

Ss & Ts: Bishop Shan!
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2009/01/bishop-shan.html
Monday, January 12, 2009. Yesterday, Shan was sustained as our ward's Bishop! Our previous bishop moved to the mainland four weeks ago, so the ward has been speculation central, with many people declaring Shan to be the bishop for all these weeks. Now he has officially been sustained - without that scene from 'Mobsters and Mormons' where the ward doesn't sustain the new bishop! What do you think that means? And it's nice to not have to redirect conversations anymore! After just getting off the phone with...

Ss & Ts: March 2008
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 22, 2008. I knew twins must have some identity issues, but lately, I don't think I'm qualified enough to handle this one! Staci has picked up on the term "twin sister" - even though it's not something I use often. Staci was looking at the pictures on the wall and said, " There's my twin sister," pointing to Sydni. Then, later Sydni says, "I'm not Sydni! I'm Sister." And Staci chimes, "I'm not Staci. I'm Sister! Then, they have this running argument:. Staci: She's not Mommy! Then I called ...

Friday, February 27, 2009. Umi, the Van, VS. THIS. So this is the pile of old roofing that Teagan put Umi into early Monday morning. And here is Umi going away on Tuesday morning to have a long visit with the auto body shop. Here's what roofing does to a windshield - note the little pieces of glass on the dashboard. Lots of white streaks on the side and note the missing antenna and side mirror. Oooh, the fun. Moral of the story? Monday, February 23, 2009. What a Monday. . .So Far. At 5:30 this morning, t...

Ss & Ts: Teagan Plays With Fire
http://sesandts.blogspot.com/2009/01/teagan-plays-with-fire.html
Tuesday, January 13, 2009. Teagan Plays With Fire. He really does love to practice with his staff and is gaining some skills. Here's a glimpse of his talent:. I didn't want to post the one where the fireworks strapped to one end goes flying off and burns quietly on the grass for a full minute - I guess I'm losing my sense of fun! Teagan always seems to have a few friends (aged 16 to 40ish) willing to help him prepare. One way to never quite grow up: playing with fire! January 13, 2009 at 3:12:00 PM PST.
