Friday, February 12, 2010. It's the Final Countdown. Just a quick update. It's come down to the final 2 weeks in my village. Then, as the end of this month I will be going up to Pretoria to officially "check out" as a PCV (Peace Corps Volunteer) and boldly wander into the world as a RPCV (Returned Peace Corps Volunteer). I am really excited for the next chapter in my life, but it has become very clear to me that saying goodbye to this life and the wonderful people that I've met here will be very difficult.

The guys in front (Oliver and Adam) finished the ultra marathon. . . .the rest of us struggled with the 1/2. After the run, we ate copious amounts of meat to replenish any caloric loss. Thankfully we were able to find some quiet areas and came across a lighthouse. We packed in a lot to our little adventure and came home pooped, a sign of a good vacation. June 8, 2009 at 10:43 PM.

Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Jag bara gråter och gråter. Nu känns det verkligen i hjärtat! Det gör så ont. Kan knappt skriva. Även fast jag ha några få dagar kvar så känns det skit jobbigt. Allting kom idag. Tårarna bara rinner. Man har ju ändå byggt upp ett litet nytt liv så nu snart ska man bara åka härifrån. Och barnen är så gullig nu och vill kramas och gosas och säger att jag inte får åka. Baikal började nästan grina igår när vi berättade att jag bara hade några dagar kvar.
