The thought of being a father just makes me so happy. Cassie and I went on a road trip a couple of weeks ago to visit some of my family and to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted everyone to be able to make it (on both sides of the family) and Saturday just seemed to work best for everyone. It was only a couple days before her real birthday (TODAY! It made today a lot less stressful, and made it possible to have a big shindig on Saturday. I might have gone a little overboard, but hey, it's my first child's first birthday! And that was that.
