Ramblings of a Christian family man

Ramblings of a Christian family man. A Christian Husband and Dad's struggles, bumbles and occasional triumphs. Saturday, August 8, 2015. Sand between the toes and a Jackson Pollack thought train. We spent a week at the ocean, slamming into rogue waves on the beach, riding their crests and intermittently being pile driven into the sandy bottom. Is there a better description anywhere, of Heaven? Each day, I left exhausted, scraped, sunburnt and bruised. It's gotta be something, doesn't it? I managed to set...

Ramblings of a Christian family man : There all nuts...

http://www.theroadisonlyaguide.blogspot.com/2015/07/there-all-nuts.html

Ramblings of a Christian family man. A Christian Husband and Dad's struggles, bumbles and occasional triumphs. Monday, July 13, 2015. Not just mine. All of them, every single one. No other constant is so perfectly repetatoy, than the biological insanities intertwined amongst moms and dads, siblings and anyone else sharing DNA from Adam on down. This is not a family secret. I think somewhere it must be mandated. I grew up in a family of secrets. Don't act surprised; you probably did, too. Did you ever wan...

Ramblings of a Christian family man. A Christian Husband and Dad's struggles, bumbles and occasional triumphs. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. A few inches of skin. I think it's a fair ascertation that I haven't lived an overly sheltered life. Last night I saw I video that shocked me, and left me speechless. Not much does that. A ledger, filled with sins of omission and commission. I'm not that guy, today. I share that, not as a confession or testimony. To say that I know sin. To say that I know sinners. But t...

Ramblings of a Christian family man : December 2014

Ramblings of a Christian family man. A Christian Husband and Dad's struggles, bumbles and occasional triumphs. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. It's been a great year, although reasonably uneventful. That is not a bad thing. I consider it a positive, in fact. So New Years Eve beckons the age old questions about the future. What would I like to do different, this year? What would I like to change? The short answer, for me is " not a whole lot". I'm not going to focus on changes. Let me start with that one.

Ramblings of a Christian family man. A Christian Husband and Dad's struggles, bumbles and occasional triumphs. Monday, October 20, 2014. Words in Red and the meaning of this. For a long time, my Wonderful Wife and I have been talking about Bible study in our house. We live about thirty five minutes from our Church and most of our friends who attend there. Long ago I learned people praise in a hundred different ways, none much better or worse, than all the others. My preferred way is not song, but I d...

theroadismyhome - An ongoing story about the girl who is constantly moving

An ongoing story about the girl who is constantly moving. Tubing in Laos, Vang Vieng, is something everyone should do. It's way more calm than it once was, and for me that's way better. I was lucky to meet some friends from southern Lao, and got to know two more friends on the bus to go there so we were a group of friends enjoying the Mekong river together. Första dagen i Laos. Sorry miss, bus come 5 hours. Vanlig standard fras i Asien när man försöker ta transport. Imorse lämnade vi Ban Lung för att...

Black days of winter all were through, the blossoms came and they brought you. Clouds left the sky, and I knew the reason why. They made way for you and the blossom. The seasons cycle turned again, an april shower now and then. Trees came alive and the bees left their hive. They came out to see you and the blossom". Samedi 25 avril 2015. Samedi 11 avril 2015. Wanderings and Mutterings

March 01, 2010. Another quick note from the not so frozen north. We're getting rain this week, suggesting that mudseason may, if only temporarily, be fast approaching. Chinese new years was fun. We had a gaggle of people over for dumpling making and telephone pictionary, and, I think, a good time was had by all. We sent out a Chinese Newyears update (not much news, i guess) - if you didn't make it on the list, check it out HERE. I've been doing more work for The Scope, you can see recent articles HERE.

The Road is West: Japan to Alaska the long way

The Road is West: Japan to Alaska the long way. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. The Team Splits :(. Richard made his way down slowly to Zurich where he stopped by a carnival, went to another zoo, and was accosted by three undercover swiss police officers at 3:00 AM. where he flew home on Nov. 10th and should be currently relaxing, eating chipotle burritos, and sleeping in peace in America. My opinion of a country is highly influenced by the availability of free WiFi. Swedes speak better English than we do.
