Mountain biking season starts next weekend. Hazel has a new (PINK) mountain bike awaiting her with hand brakes and gears. Tygh has a Strider with his name on it. Bring it on! Mom has a new job.and a part-time job.and another part-time job. She is kinda busy.). Ending cross-country ski lessons with a smile. Typical morning craziness in the Barker house. Hazel watched ice dancing in the Olympics. She has now decided on her future career path. Ski racing at our local Gunny hill! You know. Skiing. Ouray with friends from Bend.

Hazel and Tyghs Blog. Sunday, April 27, 2014. This family didn't take spring break due to Mom and Dad's work schedules. We took a 3-day weekend in the desert instead. Normally, we would camp but the truck is wavering on the edge of breakdown and every campsite was full. We stayed in downtown Grand Junction instead, thanks to Mom's work discount. Everyone woke up to rain on Saturday morning. This required some window dancing. If you can't ride bikes, you may as well wear a bike dress. Whats been going on.

Hazel and Tyghs Blog. Friday, March 22, 2013. Hazel and Tygh started their spring break at Crested Butte and continued it in Moab. It's tough to be a Barker. While Mom didn't get to ski due to injury, Dad said Hazel was skiing so well and so fast, he could barely keep up. Look for Hazel on the Peak next year. The next day, the family headed to Moab, where we camped in a BLM campground next to the Colorado River. This guy sent his greetings from Canyon Country. Camping mornings with kids are.laid back.

Hazel and Tyghs Blog. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Hazel and Tygh don't slow down, especially during the Halloween season. Friday was the annual Fright Night at the community center. This was the best photo (of the kids) of the bunch. On Saturday, after a night spent at Cameron's house with 5 other kids (until 11:30pm! Hazel and Tyghs Blog. Sunday, September 29, 2013. Dad went off to fish with Poppy for the weekend so Mom and the kids took a breathtaking trip over Kebler Pass to Paonia where they found the Harvest Festival in full swing. They also stopped by the pumpkin patch AND the apple orchard to fill the car with deliciousness. Paonia was a magical 65 degrees and sunny and both kids took a nice long nap on the way home. It was perfect day. Monday, September 23, 2013. Hiking and paddling with Grandma and Grandpa.
