Do I look everything up online? After careful consideration I decided to start a list an...

Musings of a Bibliophile: February 2010

Wednesday, February 24, 2010. Mini Musings on: Sebastian St Cyr Mysteries by C. S. Harris. The mystery was interesting, but I didn't like that there were no clues that pointed to the killer. Also the killer's logic was flimsy at best and even though his reasons were explained, I felt he lacked the background that would make his intense anger understandable. But that's just me. Grade B-. Picks up months after the end of Why Mermaids Sing. As a whole, I liked Where Serpents Sleep. Sebastian St. Cyr. With h...

Rain on the Roof. This is my favourite song to work out to at the gym at the moment. I find watching Flo Riders manly chest when he’s working out strangely motivating. Rawr. Reviews of the genre, other blogs, and, very occasionally, an actual book. Mad to Miss it, Sad to Skip it: Megan Hart’s Dirty. I’ve decided to start a new feature, in which I talk about books that I love. I haven’t. They’re books that you’d be. Mad to miss and sad to skip! I better not quit my day job for a career in marketing, huh? This post is actually an offshoot from another idea I had for a regular feature called “A Fangirl Rewrites Your Review”. I’m not trying to hear that. This book. I’ve. Disagre...

Friday, November 2, 2012. Musings On: RIP VII Wrap-Up. All good things must come to an end and it's time to usher out the RIP VII challenge. I had a lot of fun participating in this challenge. I took full advantage of Peril on the Screen and watched The Moth Diaries, Frankenweenie, Steven King's Bag of Bones, Edward Scissorhands. And my girls and I did our annual viewing of Hocus Pocus. I took part in The Graveyard Book. By C S. Harris. A review for this one is forthcoming! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Renovation tales four years in. June 9, 2015. June 8, 2015. So this leads me to the point, we ARE fixing it! It is time consuming and there are endless trades people and sourcing of fixtures and fittings but it’s worth it! One of my favourite original features is this bell box, I can’t imagine living with staff and love the notion that once someone here did. And yes that’s a new radiator leaning against the wall, hopefully to be hanging on a different wall soon. Secretly I enjoy it…. This week has been o...
