Friday, August 31, 2012. 40k Follow Friday. #FF. Today I want to share some people in Texas that I talk about gaming with on Twitter. 1) Jyo, a buddy of mine for a while now, we played in a doubles tournament at WarGamesCon a few years ago. He runs around on twitter as @hungryclone, has a really nice looking chaos army all with Space Wolf wolf helmets, they actually look cool with such consistency. 2) The Hitting on 3s. Thursday, August 23, 2012. Today we are going to talk about extravagance. Alright, th...

This one is a little trick of the blogging trade, I have a lot more easeof use on my own blog, with pictures and stuff, but I want to write for the Ho3s. So thanks for following the link. Today I will be doing the first textual installment of OMWGB and talking about SAGA, a 28mm Dark Ages skirmish game from Studio Thomahawk and Gripping Beast. And let's talk about Vikings. The w...

Welcome back folks, long time no type. Podcasting is a lot of fun, and life sure takes a lot of time. Mostly this will be a big ol picture dump. First game against Chumbalaya of the Heroic 28s against his Angry Marines, we played in the Lords of War optional round. Before a knight blast. John Cook's White Scars/Space Wolves. Of Dice and Men.

Dissenting Dice: July 2012

Thursday, July 19, 2012. D50 Shades of Grey(hawk). The link is a delightful post from the Challenge Rating 25 blog about the survey yesterday for D&D Next asking about iconic spells. The survey seemed a bit silly to me, but if it helps make D&D better, I'm for it. I was not a fan of 4e, and play Pathfinder now. But I am excited to see what they do with D&D Next, not all of 4e needs to go, minions are a good concept. But here is the hilarity. Thursday, July 12, 2012. Uncertain is the new normal. So the el...

Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Bolt Action: Order Dice Drawn in Anger. Hey folks, long time no type. I've actually played a game of Bolt Action! You can also hear @GreatRedout and I ramble about this lovely game on Old Man Wargaming on Hitting on 3s #39. Though for the feint of heart and bowel stop after our segment. Or if you want a really shitty story that will bring tears of laughter, keep going. This past weekend I played a game of Bolt Action, my Brits against some East Front style SS. Lesson learned,...

Dissenting Dice: March 2013
http://dissentingdice.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Bolt Action, Review and Models. Alright, I've found the new hotness Bolt Action. This is a 28mm WWII platoon level skirmish game. You have a few command models and two to five squads that make up your platoon. In addition to this core you can add a selection of specialist troops, along with artillery, anti tank guns, transports and a tank. 1 Fire shoots with no penalty but without any movement. 2 Advance has you to move and fire with a -1 penalty. Different units have different...

http://dissentingdice.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 21, 2013. Bryce here with some more Flames of War, I've been busy here in January. I've been looking for work, painting, trading, and trying new booze. So today I'm going to have some of my painted minis, some pictures of my loot from wheeling and dealing, and finally a short review of a new whisky that I just picked up. We are nothing if not diverse in our hobbies here on DissentingDice. Alright, so here's some progress shots of my Airborne infantry platoon from the Open Fire starter set.
