One girl among a bunch of boys: October 2012
http://onegirlamongabunchofboys.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 28, 2012. My mother would have been 66 tomorrow. October has been a difficult month for me for as long as I can remember, as every year I ached from the pains of not having the relationship I'd wanted with her. The pain this year is different. I'm missing her - just as I had for so many years - but now there's the added ache of finality. Finality on earth, anyway. Directly west of a park I know from my childhood. And I know her high school was just up the street . I ran past it! When I tu...

Happy birthday, levi! Last Friday was the talent show at school. This was the first year that Abigail and Isaac participated. Abigail played the piano and Isaac and his friend told jokes. They did a great job and had a lot of fun! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Bohrers: June 2009
http://thebohrers.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Here is a glimpse of what has been happening the last month or so. Isaac started coach pitch baseball. Levi went to TableRock Lake for the first time. Ethan drove a boat and caught a fish.Abigail and Isaac started learning how to water ski. The kids had a lemonade stand to raise money for the AHA Heart Walk. All in all, our family raised $350! We were part of a "big" team that has raised $44,000 for CHD research! Ethan doesn't like the carnival ride "dizzy dragon" and a parade with lots of friends!

The Bohrers: February 2010
http://thebohrers.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Today, February 17, was my little niece's due date. She had such a short life inside her mommy, but she will always be loved and will never be forgotten! It has been incredible to see God's love poured out on her parents. And to see Him begin to heal them in their grief. Thanks for keeping them in your prayers! February is heart awareness month. In recognition of this, the 3rd - 6th graders at Abigail's school are participating in Jump Rope for Heart. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Little Town on the Prairie.

Road trips to explore our great state of Kansas. Our dear friends visiting from out of town for two days. A week at VBS and another at Upwards basketball camp. Visits to the Truman and Eisenhower Presidential Lirbaries. Lots of bike rides, pool days and family runs. Many trips to Worlds and Oceans of Fun. I {heart} my family.

One girl among a bunch of boys: Blessed...on our birthday and always
http://onegirlamongabunchofboys.blogspot.com/2013/05/blessedon-our-birthday-and-always.html
Saturday, May 18, 2013. Blessed.on our birthday and always. However, this year I really wanted to do something that focused solely on Bryan and would bless his socks off. I knew he'd love a date night with his closest friends. And I knew he'd love one restaurant in particular. So, I sent the invite.and waited a few weeks before calling the restaurant. Bad idea. Bad. When I called four days in advance, they were already booked for Friday night. You can see how experienced I am at this. As the vase says...

One girl among a bunch of boys: June 2013
http://onegirlamongabunchofboys.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 15, 2013. This was my third year teaching Zach's class at VBS. There are about 110 kids in his grade, and in the past these kids were divided into 4 or 5 classes. This year, they were divided into two. I LOVED THE BIGGER CLASS! Having been at the church for 10 years, at the boys' elementary school for 4 years, and being a small group leader in Zach's Sunday school class for the last year, I knew about half of the kids in our class personally. This was such a blessing! I love these kids.

One girl among a bunch of boys: My sons: "God's Word makes me feel loved."

Saturday, June 8, 2013. My sons: "God's Word makes me feel loved.". I love the time we get in the summer. I love plugging into my family without distraction. Love LOVE. LOVE! And I love this book. It is rocking my world! It is the perfect companion to my heart's desire to be intentional in all things. Confession: I have not read the entire Bible. Until 10 years ago, I didn't actually know that all those kids' Bible stories I'd heard when young were actually in the Bible. That dude was AWESOME. I told the...
