Cooking over fire, latrines for toilets, no electricity, no running water, no furniture, no utensils for eating. Just the sounds peaceful sounds of roosters, birds, children playing and the conversation of the company you share it with. Travel beyond the last roundabout on Great East Rd. leaving Lusaka, go past the police check point. Travel several kms, pass over two dirt bridges, pass a herd of pigs.

Friday, November 9, 2012. 4 months of treatment. It's been 4 months since little Bonnie began treatment for her hemangiomas. The results so far have been amazing, unbelievable, and quite humbling. We are so grateful that Heavenly Father put the right doctor in our path. Before we even knew that we needed her for this. Let's compare, shall we? Monday, April 29, 2013. Let her eat cake. Our sweet bonnie jean turned one year old. My, how that flew by. We kept her birthday pretty low key. Just the five of us celebrating with cupcakes. She started out happy enough. A little timid to dive into it though, so her sister and brother helped a bit with that. The taste test verdict? Not quite the reaction we were hoping for.
