The Carter Family: April 2009
http://jennyandjasoncarter.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 26, 2009. Happy Birthday Dad and Jason! Because Dad Carter and Jason have the same birthday, we celebrate it together every year, and our favorite birthday tradition is Benihana's! It was Avery's first Benihana's experience, and she did great. Both she and Harrison sampled many of the yummy foods they prepared right in front of us. Harrison even used his chopsticks! Another favorite tradition.the balloon birthday hats! Back at the house for birthday cake. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Avery had ...

The Carter Family: October 2009
http://jennyandjasoncarter.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 26, 2009. It's about that time of year, to don our orange, buy some overpriced gourds, and take dozens of pictures, hoping that at least one turns out with both kids smiling. Look what I found! Aw, showing some love for once. No hitting, pushing, or shoving? Saturday, October 24, 2009. Catching up on Fall. So my plan is to buy a new camera tomorrow, finally. All of these pictures were taken with my iPhone! Here are some things we've been doing so far this fall. Harrison and I took a weeke...

The Carter Family: Avery's First School Party
http://jennyandjasoncarter.blogspot.com/2009/11/averys-first-school-party.html
Saturday, November 21, 2009. Avery's First School Party. Our big girl had a fall feast at her school on Wednesday. Since she loves to eat (and Mommy was there) she had a great time! Head of the table, of course. Hey, where's my plate? Mmmmm, Chick Fil A. I wish all parties had a nugget tray. A Rice Krispie treat for dessert! What a way to end the party! Sunday, September 20, 2009. Out of the Loop. Two long legged blondes, having snacks at the park. Dressed in their Deacon and Hokie gear for the first college football Saturday of the season! Avery outgrew her highchair, so we got them both new booster seats at the kitchen table. They love their new set up. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Out of the Loop. The Carter Family: Are We Ready for Broadway?
http://jennyandjasoncarter.blogspot.com/2009/12/are-we-ready-for-broadway.html
Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Are We Ready for Broadway? Starting this past summer, every Wednesday afternoon, we head up to the church for Harrison's choir practice. All of his efforts paid off because he did a wonderful job singing in the church Christmas pageant this Saturday. Even if he doesn't end up inheriting the lovely singing pipes of his grandparents/aunts/uncles, we are so proud of him for standing up in front of a large group of people and having fun singing! The Carter Family: Thanksgiving in Florida
http://jennyandjasoncarter.blogspot.com/2009/12/thanksgiving-in-florida.html
Saturday, December 5, 2009. We spent several days at Poppy and Car Car's house in Florida over the Thanksgiving holiday and were so blessed to spend valuable time with many family members and friends. The California Eschens even came in for a few days, it was so wonderful to see them! We did most of our usual activities there, a visit to the Homossassa Wildlife Park and lots and lots of football, eating, and playing outside. Harrison and Avery love the Wildlife Park! Waving hi to a lizard!

The Carter Family: August 2009
http://jennyandjasoncarter.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 15, 2009. Are you asking yourself, you mean, besides choo choos? Yes, we have new obsessions! Avery actually is in love with all animals, but she calls them all doggies. She can say "kitty," "duckie," and "bird" so she'll call those by their right names, but every other animal is a doggie, whether it's a horse, sheep, elephant, monkey, pig, or alligator. Here is Avery acting like, well, a doggie! Imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery. Sunday, August 9, 2009. Walking the ground...

The Almstedt Family: Facebook: A blessing and a curse
http://saraandjeffalmstedt.blogspot.com/2011/01/facebook-blessing-and-curse.html
Life with our sweet baby girl. Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Facebook: A blessing and a curse. So why haven't I blogged in over a year? Once my mother was my "friend" I no longer needed to update this blog. Every few weeks I upload a picture of Anna, tag Jeff, and, BOOM, no need to blog. My blogging had gotten pretty lame anyway, all I did was upload pictures and add a. Quick caption or two, and I dreaded every second of it. The pressure of, " Oh. I have to update the blog. Again" was really getting to me.

The Almstedt Family: March 2011
http://saraandjeffalmstedt.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Life with our sweet baby girl. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Have you read this book? Did you know that Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the foundation you immediately associate with breast cancer and pink ribbons, was started with a promise to a sister? Nancy Brinker, the founder of Susan G. Komen for the Cure promised her sister, who was dying of breast cancer in the late 1970's, that she would do everything she could to stop this horrible disease. Wow. Did she keep that promise, or what? Not when I think about...

The Almstedt Family: January 2011

Life with our sweet baby girl. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. You're Going to Hollywood! I love watching the auditions for American Idol. Randy's face during the horrible auditions is the best. It's always a mixture of shock, surprise, and trying not to smile. I mean, what is wrong with these people? How do they not know they cannot sing at all? How come their friends didn't tell them: You. Suck. Didn't their moms tell them the truth? Ah, no. No, they didn't. I speak from experience. You forgot to laugh!
