While I intentionally planted “doubles” in order to get smaller bulbs (they keep better), well, they weren’t exactly smaller. I’m not complaining… Just surprised, is all. I wasn’t in my own garden much this year. Work, depression, fatigue…. The Ukrainian and Romainian varieties yielded the most bulbs. Thank you earth and elements!

The bread recipe I used is the most basic sourdough recipe available from King Arthur Flour. 1 1/2 c Lukewarm water. 5 1/2 c (to 6 1/2 cups) King Arthur. 1 tb (or packet) active dry yeast. 1 tb Vegetable oil. 1 c Sourdough starter.
