Helen and her hoola-hoop, Lynemouth, Northumberland, 1984 © Chris Killip. 我不是看扁紀實攝影師在藝術獎項裡的競爭能力，事實上該獎項以往也有紀實類或報導攝影師奪得過，但他們大多都是刻意顛覆傳統紀實攝影的影像風格，或是使用一些嶄新的敘事語言，例如Jim Goldberg的文字繪畫跟攝影圖像的結合，Luc Delahye用不尋常的全景格式去拍攝戰地攝影，Paul Graham那些非線性、片段式的敘事形式，但Chris Killip所拍攝的是最「根正苗紅」的紀實攝影，無論在表現手法或題材角度上，沒有太多刻意挖空心思的做法。 Chris Killip本人比較低調，算不上一個街知巷聞的名字，相信很多讀者也會覺得陌生，網絡上華文材料對他提及也不多，但對我而言是我最早認識的幾個當代英國攝影師之一，只不過有段時間口味的轉變，沒有再去關注他的作品而已。Killip長期拍攝英國東北地區的工人階層，在當年&#...12299;，書內記錄了英國東北海岸一個以撿拾煤塊去售賣為生的社區，那些煤塊其...而Killip呢...

STAGE ＃4 嘉義.台灣 Chiayi County, Taiwan 2008. 年少時首次到台灣遊玩，猶記得叫人印像深刻的美食和風光之外，就是在電視裡無意中發現，用台式布袋戲演譯《射雕英雄傳》的電視連續劇。這些布袋偶的臉孔富有日本能劇造形的味道，其操縱布偶的師匠，用閩南語戲曲式唸白方法去演譯這部金庸名著，加上畫面效果天馬行空，叫人耳目一新。後來更知道其中廣受歡迎的「霹靂布袋戲」，更是台灣的當代流行文化符號之一。當時就是這個經驗，令我明白台灣不是單單又一個講華語的華人國度。 當我首次接觸沈昭良的《STAGE》，便不其然把這兩者連系起來，因為同樣是基層的娛樂文化蛻變成一種產業鏈。台灣的文化厲害之處，是全方位高中低層的滲透力都異常徹底，雅俗共存。沈昭良拍攝這些綜藝團的生態，是當地通俗的庶民文化典型，甚至可以用「庸俗」來形容。 65288;原文為《STAGE》：沈昭良攝影作品展撰寫的簡介，正在 The Salt Yard. 星期一, 12月 15, 2014. 兩次給警察叩門的故事 The police knocked on my door twice. 某日中午聽到叩門聲，平日我鮮有訪客，還以為是電訊商推銷員，正想著怎樣打發他走，怎知開門一看，原來是一個「行單咇」（單獨執勤）的老差骨，他希望我能為他「做個證人」。原來老差骨正要進入我的一位鄰居家中，處理一宗「有人擅闖民居」的報案，屋裡其實只有一位女士，故要我做個「證人」的要求總覺有點古怪。 那位女士是否有精神病症，我從沒去詢問過她的丈夫，除了是心照不宣外，也沒這個必要，我們總要想辦法去好好地相處下去。在我居住的老屋邨，他們算是比較新的居民，回想他們幾年前搬進來的時候，也許是不適應環境的關係，每晚總會聽到她漫罵丈夫的聲音，一罵就罵不停口，而丈夫哼也沒哼過一聲，我常想如果沒有了她丈夫的心理支援，後果真的不敢想像。 我一直在想，那個漫長的夜晚，她心裡在想著什麼？ 自上次出版及展覽後，不覺已經七年有多，這些年來一直都有跟一眾街坊接觸和一起參與活動，高興的是得知他們有些生活狀況改善了，有些性格變得開朗了，也有惋惜...這次再製作攝影文集，並沒想過要提供什麼新的視野或觀...
