THE SALLAY DAILY: November 2013
http://brentandmichellesallay.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 11, 2013. DIYOH MY, OH MY! So not that long ago, I got this little home improvement glimmer in my mind. It started with my deck, which was looking pretty sad. So I oiled the deck, and it was a lot of work, but it wasn't too bad plus it looked much better afterward. So then I started getting other ideas. I also thought that I had better replace my door handle while I was at it.I had NO idea what a hassle that was going to be.if only I had known. Sunday, November 3, 2013. PART OF MY WORLD.

THE SALLAY DAILY: December 2013
http://brentandmichellesallay.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Some dresses deserve their own photo shoot. Stella's Sunday Christmas dress was a beautiful plaid Janie and Jack special occasion dress that Mommy got last April on super sale. She has been counting down the days until wearing it and showing off the "beautiful, cute bow.". HOW THE GRINCH LOOKED ADORABLE. I videotaped her first two shows, and these pictures are from her third perfomance at Trolley Square. Dang she looked cute! Isn't her outfit adorable? I loved this book!

THE SALLAY DAILY: CHRISTMAS 2014
http://brentandmichellesallay.blogspot.com/2015/05/christmas-2014.html
Monday, May 11, 2015. And I think Christmas, especially for children, should be fun and magical. I'm pretty sure that Stella would say that is how Christmas was for her this year. Each year, she always says it was the best Christmas ever and this year she said it again. Many a dream came true for her this Christmas. Christmas day was really a busy one- we headed over to the Sallay house for lunch so that we could see all of those guys too. And can you believe it? Well, most of us were really annoyed by t...

Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver: September 2010
http://stjohngogarty.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver. On DVD: A Little Box of Butters. For many, Eric Cartman was, for a long time, the reason to watch South Park. He is to that show what Bart once was to The Simpsons. But just as Bart was overtaken by Homer in terms comedy value and viewer interest, Cartman's dominance was decisively split by the arrival and increasing centrality of Leopold "Butters" Stotch. Butters showed up during South Park. In 2008). This two-disc set collects thirteen Butters-centric episodes in...

Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver: December 2010
http://stjohngogarty.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver. On DVD: The Special Relationship. Written by Peter Morgan and directed by Richard Loncraine, concludes Morgan's "Blair Trilogy" of films, and expands HBO's string of historical films that zoom in on pivotal periods in the lives of world leaders. Morgan's loose trilogy began with two films directed by Stephen Frears: The Deal. For British Television, and The Queen. There is an interesting transition that occurs in. Well above the average film released anywhere this past...

Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver: May 2011
http://stjohngogarty.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver. In Theaters: The Tree of Life. I'm still processing The Tree of Life. Still turning over its many ingredients, layers, and moments. The fact that it's been two weeks since the screening and my brain is still stewing means that the film is special and unusual. Yet I don't think I wholly enjoyed Terrence Malick's Palm d'Or-winning sixth feature. The Tree of Life. The Tree of Life. Does not. The film's striking imagery and subtle themes don't require the storytelling ...

Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver: How Did You Do It? A Conversation with Rob Corddry
http://stjohngogarty.blogspot.com/2011/06/how-did-you-do-it-conversation-with-rob.html
Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver. How Did You Do It? A Conversation with Rob Corddry. Rob Corddry’s newest series, Adult Swim’s Childrens Hospital. That’s right: no apostrophe), is a gag-a-second mockery of one of television’s old standbys: the medical drama. Childrens Hospital. Is the next logical step for Corddry, who began as an actor in college, continued into improv with the Upright Citizens Brigade, and landed a spot on The Daily Show. On Thursday, June 30. I was a theater and English major in co...

Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver: On DVD: The Company Men
http://stjohngogarty.blogspot.com/2011/06/on-dvd-company-men.html
Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver. On DVD: The Company Men. A topical film that grapples (somewhat aloofly) with the importance of "work" in our daily lives, The Company Men. And this brings me to what troubles me about. Why do we have those jobs in the first place? These and related questions are exactly the ones that the newly-unemployed have the opportunity to ask and the present recession has indeed led many to shift their career tracks entirely. Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver: February 2011
http://stjohngogarty.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Oliver St. John Gogarty's Revolver. On DVD: Get Low. Robert Duvall has been playing spirited old men for more than twenty years, and now pushing eighty, Duvall has found what might be the best of these roles in Felix Bush, the protagonist of Aaron Schneider's directorial debut, Get Low. Is a showcase for Duvall, and the character of Felix Bush is layered in way that allows the actor to explore an uncommonly broad portion of his range. Read the full review here.
