teatime chats: "Bravo for Bono" or "Need Christmas presents?"
http://wendybodwell.blogspot.com/2006/11/bravo-for-bono-or-need-christmas.html
Monday, November 13, 2006. Bravo for Bono" or "Need Christmas presents? Bono rocks. Now, I know he has gotten some grief from the Christain community at times, but quite frankly his efforts to help relieve and educate about the AIDS pandemic in Africa ranks up there with Mother Theresa. Mother Theresa may not have worn yellow sunglasses or thrown out a few "choice phrases" from time to time, but nonetheless, Bono is helping take care of the world's less fortunate people. Reached over 180,000 people with ...

teatime chats: Reflections of a twentysomething
http://wendybodwell.blogspot.com/2006/10/reflections-of-twentysomething.html
Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Reflections of a twentysomething. So, due to the nature of the training I'm receiving ( www.247worldwide.org. I have been faced with a decision. Do I close my eyes and continue to pretend that nothing is going on in the world, or do I open my eyes, though painful, and choose to act on what I see? My heart says the latter, but my mind is slow to follow. Posted by wendy @ 5:01 PM. You are such a deep thinker. You always make me want to dive in and "get dirty" as well! I agree y...

teatime chats
http://wendybodwell.blogspot.com/2006/11/two-years-ago-i-worshipped-in-audience.html
Thursday, November 09, 2006. Posted by wendy @ 8:46 PM. Africa has always been on my heart especially the children who are left with nothing, no hope, dignity or self respect. There is always some way that people can get involved and see things turned around. Its just a matter of goin out and DOING it. I can do ANYTHING if Christ is driving me and if it’s to save the soul of fellow deprave man. I totally agree that we need to join together and pray for both our trips. View my complete profile.

teatime chats: "Addictions" or "Where's my board?"
http://wendybodwell.blogspot.com/2006/11/addictions-or-wheres-my-board.html
Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Addictions" or "Where's my board? I read an article this month about the current trends at ski resorts. The article stated that up until recently, having the ability to frequent a mountain to participate in skiing and snowboarding activities has been open to middle and upper, mostly caucasian, classes; a stigma which is probably not far from true. So is it fair to get kids inevitably hooked so young, on something more addictive that some over the counter? Sleepless nights...

teatime chats: "Political action" or "don't give me the bird"
http://wendybodwell.blogspot.com/2006/11/political-action-or-dont-give-me-bird.html
Wednesday, November 08, 2006. Political action" or "don't give me the bird". Yesterday I went door to door in support of a canidate running for a State House Office. My companion and I were handing out literature and informing people of their polling location for that day's election. This brought me to ponder if what we were doing was producing the opposite of the desired result. What has brought such negative connotations to the world of politics? Any ideas on more productive interactions? Currently, I ...

teatime chats: "silence is golden" or "baby mobile"
http://wendybodwell.blogspot.com/2006/11/silence-is-golden-or-baby-mobile.html
Thursday, November 16, 2006. Silence is golden" or "baby mobile". Abortion is always a hot topic. People on both sides get very heated in debate over the subject and protests can get equally crazy. Recently I've come into contact with two very different strategies for expressing pro-life views. The second: a campaign where protestors simply put a piece of red tape over their mouths with the word LIFE scripted in black type. The second example, I think is the product of so many pro life people doing prote...

Wednesday, October 18, 2006. I am woman" or "a poem". In response to "Buried in the Sand"). It wasn't as if my eyes. Were opened for the first time. My safe world wasn't shattered. It's just that my mind became scattered. As thoughts started to fly. I am woman,. I receive what I see. Some could say tears show my mind is weak;. But I would ask you to consider. That I am merely tender. Men and women being killed and beaten. Cowering like helpless dogs. Reality resounding in my ears. My voice will pray.

Sunday, October 15, 2006. Torn apart" or "pro-WHAT? Posted by wendy @ 4:44 PM. Like you I have the worst problem deciding where I stand on the most important issues. Always being the one to fear confrontation, I would rather shy away than stand up. However I understand that I must leap of the metaphorical fence and stand my ground because if not now, WHEN? You are so true! I'll start by being a young woman who knows how to love well! View my complete profile. Fire on the Altar. Scott Edward Fischer II.
