Andy and I did our lawn mowing sharing duties tonight - each mowing half. That was enough cause with the heat and humidity we were both a sweaty mess by the time we were done. I guess it is a good way to get some exercise, even on a yucky hot day though. Thankful that our lawn is still green and growing and we have to mow it! That's all for tonight. Goodnight. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. August 12, 2015. Happy, happy birthday to my second oldest brother Steve. Hope you had a wonderful birthday. Andy and I had a veggie meal tonight - with corn on the cob, garden carrots, and garden potatoes, and refrigerator pickles. I was perfectly fine with no meat, but Andy thought a nice piece of beef roast would have been perfect on the side. Oh well. We can live a night without meat! And it was actually a really yummy meal. Monday, August 31, 2015. August 31, 2015. Another sign it is getting to be Fall.it is getting dark at 8 pm. That came up all of a sudden didn't it? Is there anything better to do with garden tomatoes than BLTs? Nope I don't think there is much better. Tonight we sliced up one of the nice tomatoes I got from mom's garden and I cooked up some Applewood Smoked Bacon and toasted some good sourdough and made the best BLTs. Ran out of candy - and had to go dig in my stock of fruit snacks and chip bags and granola bars. Well over 100 - I didn't even keep track this year. But it felt like the most ever. Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Gracie is now 8 and is she great! She is growing up to be such a sweet and beautiful young lady. We are so happy to have her in our family.
