By far the hardest part of deployment is being away from my family:. Movies on the couch with Kari after the kids are asleep. Swimming with the kids in the backyard. Exploring" the neighborhood with the kids. Bedtime stories with Ian. Coming home after work and Ian running to hug me as he raises his arms to have me pick him up. Watching Diego with Ian and Audrey.
