Kaleidoscopic Kara: June 2014
http://kaleidoscopickara.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Salute to the Troops. A big thank you to all the men and women of the armed services who serve our country. Thursday, June 12, 2014. Beauty and the Beast. By now we have established that I love musical theater so it should be no surprise to anyone that I would not want to miss the only Broadway show performing at Wolf Trap this summer, Beauty and the Beast. Especially if tickets are only going to cost me $13. That's a steal of a deal for a show! Truly a tale as old as time.

Kaleidoscopic Kara: And All That Jazz
http://kaleidoscopickara.blogspot.com/2015/04/and-all-that-jazz.html
Wednesday, April 1, 2015. And All That Jazz. I figured what better way to celebrate Valentine's Day then going to see Chicago. A musical about women who murder their husbands. Cause when your single you don't want to celebrate this day by watching a sappy love story right? I'm so glad Anne came with me to the show and we were able to catch up over lunch. Little Blurbs: June 2013
http://leah-littleblurbs.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 29, 2013. I haven't done this much research since I was obsessively reading anything and everything related to Anicent Egypt. It's exciting and thrilling because it has my brain actively thinking and analyzing the world around me again, and it reminded me of how much I love science. I've been watching a youtube video series, which if you have me on facebook you'll know about it since I've posted a couple of links. Why I Left Mormonism. I feel, I know, I testify, etc. But ultimately I feel ...

Little Blurbs: July 2013
http://leah-littleblurbs.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 13, 2013. I realized something this week. I've been working on a story about Hades and Persephone. Uberly excited about it! And it's been writing very well, I don't remember the last time I wrote this effortlessly. So I'm hoping to use this Greek mythology based story to use the comfort of familiarity to practice developing story and character. (I had a better sentence in my head and half of it vanished before I wrote it, blast! Wednesday, July 10, 2013. The character then says something r...

Little Blurbs: Observations and Thoughts
http://leah-littleblurbs.blogspot.com/2013/10/observations-and-thoughts.html
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. I've spent a lot of time on postmormon.org since leaving the church. It's brought me a lot of solace and deeper confidence in my choice to leave. But I've noticed something that's a recurring theme. The church has brought pain to a lot of people. I had it easy. I was the only convert in my immediate family, I didn't care what people would think because if they cared or disapproved, or tried to re convert me, I could sever ties and be done. No wonder I've become vehemently oppose...

Little Blurbs: February 2013

Sunday, February 10, 2013. Sunday, February 3, 2013. Skating on the Canal. I've always been a little amazed with the fact that the locals of a beautiful area rarely take advantage of the beauty right in their backyards as it were. And I hadn't been skating since I was fourteen. (I ended up giving my skates away since I wasn't using them anymore). So needless to say I was. The evening held a few firsts for me:. First time tying up my skates all by myself with my bare hands! Labels: Skating on the Canal.

Little Blurbs: December 2012
http://leah-littleblurbs.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 30, 2012. It's funny how every year there's this huge build up prior to Christmas and it feels like it takes. To get here. And then just like that it's gone! This year was really good! I think Callan made it extra special because for the first Christmas ever I didn't care about getting the presents opened, I was just so excited to see what he'd think of the whole hting. And it was just so nice to be with family and be able to relax. And I'm super excited about my crock pot! But I'm also ...
