The Scharlachs in Brussels. Tuesday, September 9, 2008. It's been too long. I can't quite believe it's been almost two months since our last post. Sincere apologies for any of our blog followers out there - what can I say, it's been a busy few weeks! August was WET. Really quite miserable, although Joel reminds me that the days that were sunny were really lovely. September has been pretty good so far with just the odd deluge rather than a daily one. And had a 20 minute bumpy ride around the little paths.

Joel has attended a playgroup a few times on Mondays and Fridays which is great. Joshua can have a good run around and mix with other little ones and Joel can interact with some adults! A Day with AVA. Born March 1, 2007. She already has Daddy wrapped around her little fingers. This is the first time Daddy got to hold Ava in the surgery room. And I must say - he looks mighty "hot" in those scrubs. This is the moment I've been waiting for all my life. Grandmother Dorothy and Aunt Tiffany. Were at the hospital since 6 am awaiting her arrival. We think now maybe Dorothy will stop buying clothes for her dog and help stock Ava's wardrobe instead. Like 2 little peas in a pod.

A Day with AVA. The Great Pumpkin Patch. Now that we had Ava's first Halloween costume-we needed to find a reason for her to wear it. We discussed it over with Ava one morning, and she insisted we invite 6 of her closest friends and their parents over to our house for brunch. After we were all fed and the babies were done climbing all over each other - we caravanned over to the Arboretum, dressed the babies in their costumes and plopped them in the pumpkin patch.
