Sunday, May 26, 2013. Sunday on Shamian Island. After the service we did a little souvenir shopping on the island. The island consists mostly of western architecture because there used to be 19 western consulates there at one time. The island reminds me of the southern U.S. with its palm tree lined streets and wrought iron gated buildings. It is hot and humid here. The heat isn't so bad, but the humidity is awful. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. We had lunch today at a Mexican restaurant with our friends, Ryerdan, Michelle, and Zelin. The food was okay. It was just a nice change from rice and noodles with animal parts. :) CJ is feeling better and is eating again, which is awesome. The rest of the day will be spent napping and packing. Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Max and Tess turned 5 on November 1st while at Disneyworld. This is celebrating at home :). Meg turned 7 on November 17th and got her birthday wish-her ears are now pierced and she got the beloved Baby Alive. All this kids helped decorate the tree. All I had to do was set it up ;). Mason and Meg take piano lessons from Victoria, and finished off the year with Christmas songs at the mall. All the cousins at the Henry's for Christmas. New bikes for the big kids!
