The Evolution of Us: November 2011
http://mts-evolutionofus.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 24, 2011. Where-ever you are, have a happy day! We're off to Chicago to enjoy the day with Justin's side of the family. Updates when we return! Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Happy Birthday to Me! As the years go by it's natural for birthday to get less and less important. In college I think I used to celebrate the whole week long! It's a special day for moms and dads too. This year I won't get to see or call my dad and thank him, but I'm pretty sure he already knows. My mom and I. That s...

Saturday, May 19, 2012. Since we moved back to the US from Ireland in September (8 months ago! The waiting and persistence has finally paid off. A couple of weeks ago Justin was called to interview for the position of Lecturer in Modern European History at Idaho State University. He got the job! With Justin going to Manhattan for a fellowship for the month of July, we've got our work cut out for us with this big move in just a couple of months. It will all be worth it! The Evolution of Us: Liam's Two Year Stats
http://mts-evolutionofus.blogspot.com/2012/05/liams-two-year-stats.html
Thursday, May 10, 2012. Liam's Two Year Stats. We'll start with the measurements:. He is 36.5 inches tall (90th percentile). 255 lbs (25th percentile). Head circumference: 19 in (50th percentile). Taking a swim in the Lake in Lewiston, MI (June, 2011). So, he's tall and slender, no surprise there! He is like the energizer bunny all day long and is a great (though VERY messy) eater. I think all that nutrition is going into making him grow up and not out! Or "I Make. Mommy. Coffee! He'd rather be outside t...

The Evolution of Us: Props to the Husband
http://mts-evolutionofus.blogspot.com/2012/04/props-to-husband.html
Friday, April 27, 2012. Props to the Husband. I just read his latest publication. Chapter 13 in the book: Terror in Ireland. And it was gooood (five 'o's' in good, good.). I'm a girl that appreciates history and admires the heck out of my husband for making it his life's work, but I wouldn't pick up a history book to read for fun. Unless it's historical fiction - but Justin says that doesn't count - ha! If you want to buy it). April 27, 2012 at 4:52 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Husband: Justin...

Sunday, October 30, 2011. Another Grief Post - Sorry! And wanted to kill anyone who ever did me wrong. Did I mention that he died four days before we were set to move home? Four Days. He and my mom were going to surprise us at the airport. His retirement party was the following weekend. Four days. I repeat that a lot in my head. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hi, I'm Megan. The Evolution of Us: December 2011
http://mts-evolutionofus.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 13, 2011. Things have been super crazy lately and I feel so out of the loop! It's mostly due to me starting work. I'm subbing! I subbed about 5 years ago before I got my first job in marketing and found it to be a great transitional "for now" job. Now the added bonus is it's flexible and the hours are great - I get to be home with Liam for the second half of the day! Yes, I think we most definitely are. Kelly graduates from nursing school tomorrow (congratulations, sis! Husband: Justin ...

The Evolution of Us: September 2011
http://mts-evolutionofus.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 22, 2011. I still can't believe dad's gone. I saw him in a coffin, know exactly what happened, and still feel like I'm waiting for him to walk in the door at any moment. He still seems so alive to me. I hope this feeling stays - I don't ever want to forget him, for my sake and the sake of his grandchildren, his legacy will live on. He was a stand-up guy. I miss him so much. My dad with Iraqi children at Abu Ghraib in 2005. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Eye of the Storm. Justin has been ...

The Evolution of Us: Rest in Peace, Dad
http://mts-evolutionofus.blogspot.com/2011/09/my-dad-died.html
Saturday, September 10, 2011. Rest in Peace, Dad. It doesn't seem real. Can't be true. He was a month away from retirement. Would have celebrated his 53rd birthday this Wednesday. He was an amazing man. He had a heart of gold. He was so passionate about his beliefs. He was my hero. He touched so many lives and was taken too soon. Mom and Dad meeting Liam for the first time. Dad at Howth Pier, feeding the seals. With his two favorite boys. Mom and Dad in Italy - so in love! September 10, 2011 at 7:52 AM.
