The Serendipitous Garden: September 2009

http://theserendipitousgarden.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Gardens, Gardeners, and Gardening. Monday, September 28, 2009. What is in bloom today? The first thing you notice when you walk out my front door is this Sweet Autumn Clematis, up and over the railing. I know this vine can get big, but it's welcome to expand the length and height of the front porch if it wishes. A fall mish-mash with Variegated Feather Reed Grass 'Overdam' stealing the show. Asters so close to bloom. Cosmos make me smile. Front door annuals on their last 'huzzah! View my complete profile.

http://theserendipitousgarden.blogspot.com/2010/04/where-in-heck-did-i-plant-that.html

Gardens, Gardeners, and Gardening. Thursday, April 8, 2010. Where in the heck did I plant that. One of the problems that comes from being a gardener that relies on serendipity is that in general, there is no plan. And when there is no plan, sometimes important pieces of information get lost. I stumbled across an instance of this tonight. And a Campanula portenschlagiana "Resholt Variety". April 9, 2010 at 6:34 AM. Theyll pop up somewhere and surprise you Im sure! April 9, 2010 at 7:29 AM. I garden in zon...

Gardens, Gardeners, and Gardening. Saturday, August 29, 2009. The Pink Impression tulips I choose to set off the delicate flowers of the Daphne. Carol Mackie' were too tall, too pink, and too early. And don't get me started on the critter who ate absolutely every one of my crocus buds just moments before their bloom. My favorite were the Blue Ribbons placed with the catmint (Nepeta 'Walker's Low') around the Fothergilla 'Mt. Airy'. Thursday, August 27, 2009. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. The lesson of this...

The Serendipitous Garden: March 2010

http://theserendipitousgarden.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Gardens, Gardeners, and Gardening. Tuesday, March 16, 2010. March 15th Bloom Day. Technically, these pictures weren't taken on the 15th, but considering the Nor-easter that passed through here yesterday, these will have to do. I also have to apologize for the quality of the pictures. The battery died on my real camera, so I am using my phone to record my blooms. The pictures aren't as crisp, but I am grateful to have them. Only three blooms today:. Snowdrops (Galanthus nivalis) and Crocus.

Thursday, July 4, 2013. In a few months, a lot has happened, which has caused a complete redirection of our company. The Serendipitous Librarian

Saturday, August 31, 2013. I like to make stuff. For the past couple of weeks, I've been sewing away. Here's a picture of the dress that I made. I absolutely love the fabric, which is covered with a pattern that has birds and flowers that are paint by number. It's really cute! I used the Washi dress pattern (http:/ www.made-by-rae.com/washi/). The pockets are probably my favorite feature of this dress. Plus, it's super comfortable. I started a skirt today. The pattern is called the Kelly skirt. I was rel...
