Scenes from a single life. Bring back the Béguinage. May 2, 2015. May 2, 2015. Entrance to the beguinage in Bruges. A few months ago I picked up a novel called The Owl Killers. In 1311 the Pope abolished the movement. Everywhere, except in Flanders, which is why there are so many you can visit in Belgium.
