Photowalks in Sohar: Customize
http://photowalksinsohar.blogspot.com/2012/03/customize.html
Photographs from my photowalks within the City of Sohar and nearby communities in the Sultanate of Oman are posted here on a daily basis. Concrete interlocking blocks known as "core loc" weighing approximately. 9 tons were used in the construction of the breakwater in Sohar corniche. Core-locs used in constructing the breakwater in Sohar corniche interlocks like a "jigsaw puzzle". Resulting in a higher stability of the structure even under the presence of a constant massive force from the ocean waves.

Self Portrait in Red: January 2011
http://selfportraitinred.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Self Portrait in Red. A place to share the chaos. Saturday, January 22, 2011. I think I may have found an explanation for my recent lack of creativity (or at least extreme struggle with being creative). This little chart here of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs (thank you wiki! Seems to break it down pretty well. Creativity is at the top of the pyramid, to be reached when there are supports underneath it. My supports under the top level have been playing a high stakes game of Jenga for too long. View my compl...

Self Portrait in Red: December 2010
http://selfportraitinred.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Self Portrait in Red. A place to share the chaos. Monday, December 6, 2010. Where are you tonight? I wish I was a better storyteller. I'm sure that I must have some amusing stories to share with people, I have stories that I find amusing. However, when sharing entertaining stories with others I always seem to fall flat. I'd like to learn to write humor. I even tried it a couple of times, but vampires, ghosties and corpses kept trying to fall out of the shadows. My imagination is a creepy place. So I thin...

Self Portrait in Red: Work Like You Don't Need the Money
http://selfportraitinred.blogspot.com/2010/12/work-like-you-dont-need-money.html
Self Portrait in Red. A place to share the chaos. Thursday, December 2, 2010. Work Like You Don't Need the Money. So I think I've mentioned before that I'm a geek. As part of that, I play D&D with a group of close friends on a fairly regular basis. The schedule is twice a month barring catastrophe that is all too common for us. We're scheduled to play this Saturday, and I realized today that I have not prepared. Huh I learned something new today. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Art of Politics.

Self Portrait in Red: March 2011
http://selfportraitinred.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Self Portrait in Red. A place to share the chaos. Sunday, March 20, 2011. So it's been awhile. life is still crazy and makes no sense. Or maybe, it's not that it makes. Sense, it just doesn't make the kind of good organized sense that appeals to me. Life has some kind of weird backward logic of it's own that I am incapable of following. I have begun to realize I have an unhealthy relationship with time. Thankfully, it's not the terrible curse of bad timing that my dear Reverend Doctor Jones. And then, lo...

Self Portrait in Red: October 2010
http://selfportraitinred.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Self Portrait in Red. A place to share the chaos. Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Yesterday - I did nothing. At least nothing productive. And almost nothing at all. I just bummed around online and read a lot of really bad fanfiction. At least, that's what it would have looked like to any observer, and indeed, how I would describe it if anyone asked. Self Portrait in Red: I didn't know what going to college would mean
http://selfportraitinred.blogspot.com/2012/05/i-didnt-know-what-going-to-college.html
Self Portrait in Red. A place to share the chaos. Sunday, May 6, 2012. I didn't know what going to college would mean. Things get better, then they get worse again. Life gives and takes away. But lately I've been thinking about how much was taken away without my knowledge, I'm learning just how much I'll lose out on. A college degree is supposed to provide a better life. Who doesn't want a better life? I mean, a college degree is supposed to nearly double annual income. And sure, it may take months of no...
