These Things That People Make. Friday, June 22, 2012. Two New Exciting Projects! THANKS for visiting the These Things that People Make Blog. For now at least, I've moved on. I'm not currently doing the show at all. I do miss radio though. I miss it terribly but I'm excited about the new things I'm doing! I've started a blog/online distro called Lonely Dog Publishing (I'll give you one guess who the name's inspired by). lonelydogpublishing.blogspot.ca. I'll be updating that regularly as well. These Things Too
Random acts of reflection on music, media, and politics. Thursday, March 28, 2013. When Allen died in 1997 a local record store in Indianapolis held a memorial and people were invited to speak. I wrote a poem about my encounter with Allen and read it. I later lost the poem and the cassette that had my reading on it. Just today in a file I found a copy of the poem. I found I still like it and want to share it. Memories of Allen Ginsberg. The thick black beard. Onto the tablecloth of. Sung in the flat.

So Comes Love
Wednesday, July 30, 2003. Well, its been a long time. I started this blog when I was home for winter session in January partly because I was bored and partly because.I don't know. I have this crazy idea in my mind that if people read my thoughts, they'll think I'm interesting. Like maybe they'll see a side of me they never saw before and suddenly I'll be worthy of. I won't finish that sentence. Its horrible, I hate it. There's always something. It gets crushed by the weight. Posted by Kate @ 10:48 PM.

Riting about the state of literary criticism in 1970, Paul de Man draws anecdotally from an 1894 Oxford lecture by French poet Stéphane Mallarmé in order to make this point about the nature of. Might offer up a teachable moment. We heard the word crisis so many times, the repetition alone could be dazzling, even mystifying. Its use or overuse, then, as de Man recognizes in the rhetoric of M...
