rendering grace: Sweet vacation...
http://renderinggrace.blogspot.com/2010/12/sweet-vacation.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. Today is Monday. And it's two days after Christmas. And I am sitting at home in sweat pants, drinking coffee, and NOT at work. This year, I unintentionally saved nearly all of my paid vacation days for the end of the year. I left work at the end of the day on December 22, and I'm not going back to the office until January! Since I have so much time off at once, there are a few things I would like to accomplish during my vacation:. Get a new bed. Check! View my complete profile.

rendering grace: first day of autumn
http://renderinggrace.blogspot.com/2010/09/first-day-of-autumn.html
Wednesday, September 22, 2010. First day of autumn. I love autumn. It has always been my favorite season. Although, I really can't complain too much about any of the "seasons" here in San Diego. I enjoy them all! Fall is probably the only season I miss from living in the Midwest. Cool, crisp days and nights. Lots of changing leaves. The scent of woodsmoke and bonfires in the air. It's pretty fantastic. Cinnamon-frosted Pumpkin Cookies from Von's (okay, maybe I have already indulged in these.).

Friday, June 18, 2010. This blog is in serious. Need of a visual makeover! Watch for the new and improved to arrive in the next couple of weeks. Monday, June 14, 2010. City of Brotherly Love. A couple weeks ago I traveled to Philadelphia for the first time on a business trip. While I was working most of the time, I did get a chance to sneak out and see some of the city, as well as chow down on a yummy Philly cheese steak sandwich (which I failed to get a photo of). The view from our hotel room.

rendering grace: March 2010
http://renderinggrace.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 28, 2010. This weekend I visited the Carlsbad Flower Fields with a friend. It was my first time. We didn't know we were going on Kids Day. And there LOTS of families there! It was a gorgeous San Diego Saturday full of warm sunshine. Spending it outside in the beautiful flower fields was the perfect way to enjoy the weather. Beautiful flower fields (and, yes, that IS a port-a-potty in the corner.). Carlsbad is famous for these flowers: ranunculus. Isn't that a fun word? Songs for the soul.

Pregnancy and Newborn Blog Posts. My voyage toward publication. January 6, 2010. Written while my 5th graders were writing their own, outside of Dundee! A mini cluster of trees. Stands at silent attention. They watch over a land of fun,. Observing children at play. The brilliant green family,. Their limbs are prickly bristles. A quiet sway is the only motion. In their daily dance of nature. Bright blooms like winter. Mean the coming of the spring. Fragrance fills the air. Rough and bumpy bark. The girl i...
