It was our first vacation to the beach, and the kids loved it. My whole family got to the rental house we were staying at on Saturday, but Jon had to work that day. Addison was given a project in her class to choose a fairy tale character and decorate a pumpkin to look like that character. With a little influence, Addison chose Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast. She was so excited to decorate her pumpkin, and it ended up being really easy and cheap to make. We decided it would be beneficial to teach him how to channel his energy, while learning about self discipline and respect for others. We spent a long weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Hoenerhoff in Fredericksberg this past President's Day holiday weekend. Aunt Wendy and Uncle Bill couldn't make it last minute due to sickness and work responsibilities. They were missed! I have to say it was a bit intimidating.
