The weatherman was RIGHT ON this time. He said we would wake up to rain and it would change over to snow around lunch time, and that is exactly what happened. I layed down for a nap at 11:30 and could hear the freezing rain tapping on the window. I woke up less than an hour later and looked out my window to see the ground covered in SNOW! I could hear Macy saying. Brother, look outside! It's snowing, it's snowing! Then we met some neighbors at the park and had a snow party! Dalton and Ben sledding.

This is a new Shoffner family favorite. I thought I would share it now that soup/chili season is upon us. I hope your family enjoys it as much as mine does :). TURKEY BLACK BEAN CHILI. 1 package JENNIE-O TURKEY STORE Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast. 1 cup onion, coarsely chopped. 1 red bell pepper, cut into 1/4-inch cubes. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced, if desired. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin. 1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander.

I figured that since Derek and I have been blessed with our amazing son Brayden Quinn, I'd do my best at keeping our family and friends informed. So, Brayden is now 2 months old! And I have to say, we have been blessed with a great baby boy. He is now sleeping through the night, for the most part and growing like crazy (which means he's eating like crazy). A few hours old. It has been a few years since we've watched a sunrise together. ugh. from hwy 121 its not nearly as romantic as it is on a beach. =( he was a trooper tho. we missed that first flight and had to book another later in the day. he drove me to catch that one also. we were able to squeeze in a little lunch date. 5 days later i was saying goodbye to NYC and getting back to Texas for a weekend full of holiday parties! Monday, April 1, 2013. In march we spent lots of time enjoying our new home! We said goodbye to a special friend. he didnt make the move well. =( we will miss him forever. we cherished our 8.5 years with that fat cat. RIP Gage. The night before KP left for snowboard trip number 2 of winter 13.we spent the evening cooking dinner togethe. Kenn helped with cooking and Korb helped by staying out of the way.
