Progress on CD #2. Saturday, January 20, 2007. The CD is Done! The CD is done! I’m holding it in my hands. It looks great. It sounds great. I’m very happy and proud of this product. Mastering and pressing really worked well for it. It’s all about compression. I can’t tell you how important the Mastering. And a good mastering job will offset much of that, among other things. It starts with “Metaphor” and hooks you with that funky percussion intro. At least, that’s what I hope. 8220;Fire” is next....

Progress on CD #2. Saturday, October 07, 2006. I got the mastered CD today. Either this guy (mastering engineer) is really good, or I just don’t have the ears to hear where I’ve lost any quality to compression and whatnot. I’m betting on a combination of both. That one is louder and the other is softer by keeping the integrity and the nuance and the spirit and the soul of the songs intact, while making the overall level about the same. Got it? Skipping over it during listen-throughs. Are We There Yet?

Progress on CD #2. Monday, April 24, 2006. Not much to blog about these days. The tracks are still in the hands of the studio and we’re just waiting for word as to when we can get in do our final mix. I had a cool idea which I think you’ll be hearing more about in time.
