Inside-Out Living: My Backyard Pergola
http://inside-out-living.blogspot.com/2014/02/my-backyard-pergola.html
Thursday, September 20, 2012. At our latest home the backyard needed a little attention. It was a short sale so the yard was neglected, these pictures are after I cut down the grass forest that was back there. I wanted to double the size of the patio, and provide some shade, so I had to cut out some sod, and this machine did just that, it would have taken me days using a shovel…. Formed up and ready for concrete. My daughter Ella was a tremendous help digging the holes. Buck in the Heart of Texas.

Inside-Out Living: Music Boxes as Christmas Gifts
http://inside-out-living.blogspot.com/2011/01/music-boxes-as-christmas-gifts.html
Monday, January 3, 2011. Music Boxes as Christmas Gifts. Handmade Musical Jewelry Boxes. I had to wait till after Christmas for this post. I found a small woodshop, here where I was allowed to use the table saw, clamps, and mitersaw. It started with the drawing in my notepad, and some walnut planed down to 3/8". Had to think ahead and drill out the bottom and the holes in the side for the paperclip stop bar. When checking for square, once is never enough. A couple coats of varnish later. Buck in the Hear...

Inside-Out Living: February 2005
http://inside-out-living.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 8, 2005. The nephew needed a Jungle Gym, and his dad wanted an extra hand, so he could finish it in one weekend. I showed up with my old trusty Ryobi 18v (that I found laying in the road one day) a level, framing square, and an impact wrench, which always makes things easier. Also, we actually read the instructions when we needed to, (as a last resort.) Just out of the picture there are seven boxes of parts stacked up in the corner. It is actually starting to look like it was intended to.

Inside-Out Living: June 2008
http://inside-out-living.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 22, 2008. I went fishing with dad for Father's day, out at Lake Buchanan, this was the first time either of us fished this lake, so I called Bas (pronounced "Boss") at BOSSTRIPER.com. Guide service. I went with two new fathers also, my cousin Justin, and my brother Chad. On the drive down we were checking the weather and lake reports on the iphones, the weather was looking good, but not the fishing reports, still we hoped for the best. Chad, the best dressed fisherman on the boat!

Inside-Out Living: October 2008
http://inside-out-living.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. Here is the back patio Friday evening before we set the posts, from the angle of the sun you can see that we only have about an hour before darkness. We set the 12ft - 6"x6" cedar posts in 3"-6" holes that we dug with a 10" 2-man auger we rented from The Home Depot. Luckily we did not hit any sprinkler lines! Buck in the Heart of Texas. Saturday, September 9, 2006. We added some door casing that was left over from a home I was building to finish off the edge. It turned out great, and she loved the final product.
