...the sight of morning...

Monday, 27 October 2014. That we might be able to love. What our understanding has seen. And what our memory has held.'. St Catherine of Siena (c1347-80). Here we are at the end of our journey together. It has taken seven years to reach this place,. Navigating the unexpected twists and turns. I could not have described the road. Or imagined the ending when I began. I thought we would part at a crossroads. But I find myself at a cottage door. There will be other journeys in the future. Posted by alice c.

Thursday, 31 July 2014. Mr Higgledy Garden proposed. Nope Not a clue what this is. Centaurea - unknown variety. If I am being completely honest. I caught him at a weak moment. When he was so terrified about talking. In front of the dovegreyreader. That he sold me twelve packets of seeds. At an outrageously cheap price. It is a brutal lesson. Not to drink gin in public. Now I just need a walled garden. Posted by alice c. Wednesday, 30 July 2014. Notes from the Lady Gardener. Lady in the Garden. I hope tha...

Wednesday, 15 October 2014. I am the only person out in the soft rain and the squirrels ignore me, rustling industriously through the beech leaves. I can hear the thin shriek of a kite high overhead and the muffled flap of wood pigeons as I disturb them. The creaking bellow of a stag resonates from tall bracken close to the path. He watches me as I cautiously walk past and I am relieved when he eventually turns away. Posted by alice c. October 15, 2014. Lovely.and that fern image is exquisite. October 15...

Life in bits and pieces 2. Recording the little things that make life sweet. Friday, October 24, 2014. Caught my eye . . . . . Dear Miss (or Mr? All I can say is 'Wow'! Your very creative design literally stopped me in my tracks last weekend in the parking lot of Hobby Lobby. I stood there, in the parking lot, admiring your very colorful design and crochet skills - then stepped back and took a picture. And, I've shared the picture with all my crafty friends - and, they were duly impressed too.

there's always cake: January 2010

http://theresalwayscake.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

A journey into the sweeter side of life. Thursday, 28 January 2010. It's hard isn't it? You feed them, clothe them, try to teach them the essential lessons of life. You worry and fuss about them all the time. But one day you have to be brave and let them go it alone. My friends all told me, you can't hold on to them forever. And so it was that today, filled with apprehension, I did it. I finally gave Lily her first taste of freedom. It was good to get her safely back home though. Sunday, 24 January 2010.

Running to catch up with myself. Wednesday, February 29. In a few minutes of post-school artistic activity, (whilst his laissez faire mother attended to some emails upstairs) Bounce absentmindedly ate his way through nearly a pound of dried apricots.
