Washington, DC here we come! To top it all off, my mom brought out a BEAUTIFUL blackberry cobbler, made with a special crust of coconut and pecans, topped with pure vanilla ice cream. YUMMO! Now that's a send-off. Saturday, March 1, 2008. She is that good!

Thursday, August 13, 2009. Washington, DC here we come! Last night my parents (the brotherhood's grandparents) had a wonder farewell dinner for us. Grandpa Gene slow-cooked his famous ribs for over 3.5 hrs until they were literally falling off the bones. My mom made fresh cole slaw and red potato salad too. It was really wonderful! To top it all off, my mom brought out a BEAUTIFUL blackberry cobbler, made with a special crust of coconut and pecans, topped with pure vanilla ice cream. YUMMO!

Saturday, February 23, 2008. San Antonio, redux. Two days of 400 miles each, whew! This is what we did Friday (2/22) and Saturday. But it was beautiful! We told jokes, laughed, and stopped at "look-it" sights along the way. And the boys also managed a little rip-sticking in the meantime too :-).
