Life With Lonnie: December 2009
http://raisinganautisticchild.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Raising an autistic child. Sunday, December 27, 2009. We lost my aunt to cancer yesterday. It was expected, I'm glad she was able to have one last Christmas with the family, especially her 2 grandsons. I told Lonnie last night that Aunt Jan had died, not knowing if she would really comprehend or not. She looked at me very surprised, her eyes wide, and said, "she died? Birthday, I can see that she is beginning to understand. As always, each day holds it's own miracles. Links to this post. They don't all f...

Life With Lonnie: November 2010
http://raisinganautisticchild.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Raising an autistic child. Monday, November 1, 2010. Another Halloween come and gone. Unlike most children, Lonnie's greatest joy on Halloween is giving rather than receiving. She loves to hand out candy to all the trick or treaters, tell them how great their costume is and to point out the happy-faced jack-o-lantern she helped prepare. She always wants a costume for the school activities. This year she decided on a Veterinarian. I think it turned out pretty well. Links to this post. Taking over the sofa.

Life With Lonnie: Halloween is coming!
http://raisinganautisticchild.blogspot.com/2010/10/halloween-is-coming.html
Raising an autistic child. Friday, October 1, 2010. So, Lonnie has decided that this year her costume choice is a veterinarian. So far I have found pink scrubs, a white lab coat and a stethoscope. She insists that there must be a hypodermic needle and tongue depressor (where does she get these ideas? I have found some possibilities on line and I think I will be able to round out the accessories in time. This is definitely easier than finding all the parts of the Minnie Mouse costume last year!

Life With Lonnie: Different viewpoints
http://raisinganautisticchild.blogspot.com/2010/10/different-viewpoints.html
Raising an autistic child. Monday, October 25, 2010. I just finished reading a very eloquent open letter to a Dr. Kartzinel, who has some very controversal views about autism and how to "treat" it. Most of the comments posted were extremely negative, but the last one seemed to be the best - saying keep an open mind and try to understand a different point of view - even if you don't agree with it. Here's the link:. Dear Dr. Kartzinel. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Taking over the sofa.

Story | Glory Revealed
https://gloryrevealed.wordpress.com/about
The funny, honest and sometimes inspirational story of one family seeking God's heart for his people and passion for his glory. Our story is part of His story, a story that began before time itself. I believe that He is the creator, who both made the world beautiful and formed us in His image that we might appreciate beauty. What God made was beautiful and glorious: in His words “very good,” (Genesis 1:31). We know we were made for more than this. And I hope that you will be drawn into His story too.
