The Sirenic Codex: Mini DNF Review: Storm Siren
http://www.thesireniccodex.blogspot.com/2015/08/mini-dnf-review-storm-siren.html
Mini DNF Review: Storm Siren. 8220;I raise my chin as the buyers stare. Yes. Look. You don’t want me. Because, eventually, accidentally, I will destroy you.”. In a world at war, a slave girl’s lethal curse could become one kingdom’s weapon of salvation. If the curse—and the girl—can be controlled. But what if she doesn’t want to be the weapon they’ve all been waiting for? Eh, it's not for me. I don't know what else I'm supposed to write in this review because the fact of the matter is that Storm Sire...

The Sirenic Codex: February 2015
http://www.thesireniccodex.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by. That spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. June 2, 2015. A heartrending, bold novel in verse about family, identity, and forgiveness. Told in raw, exposed free verse,. Reminds us that there is no one way to be a family. I love verse novels every now and then. I'm a big fan of Lisa Schroeder's work but I've never read books by any other author who writes in verse. This might be nice! Also, I adore the cover :). What do you think?
The Sirenic Codex: Review: The Diviners
http://www.thesireniccodex.blogspot.com/2015/07/review-diviners.html
Evie O’Neill has been exiled from her boring old hometown and shipped off to the bustling streets of New York City—and she is pos-i-tute-ly ecstatic. It’s 1926, and New York is filled with speakeasies, Ziegfeld girls, and rakish pickpockets. The only catch is that she has to live with her uncle Will and his unhealthy obsession with the occult. I can't tell you how I finished The Diviners. I really can't. The story was lukewarm for me, and it felt like it was dragging on and on and on. The ove...Aw man :/...
The Sirenic Codex: The YA Fairy Tale Retellings You've Been Dreaming About
http://www.thesireniccodex.blogspot.com/2015/08/the-ya-fairy-tale-retellings-youve-been.html
The YA Fairy Tale Retellings You've Been Dreaming About. It's Not Just Disney Movies. I grew up on Disney movies. These are not the same as fairy tales, but my parents didn't know them since they grew up in a different country. My first exposure to fairy tales was via Disney. This wasn't it. I always maintained an interest in these stories, from reading Sisters Grimm to now. The books here are not strict retellings. They use elements of the story and explore different parts of the world. My review is here.

Stacking The Shelves

Short and Sweet Reviews. August 1, 2015. Stacking the Shelves is a weekly feature put on by Tynga’s Reviews. It allows bloggers to share what new books they’ve collected that particular week. I went on a bit of a book shopping spree this week so although my stack isn’t that big, I splurged and bought a few of them, which I don’t do often. Also, I am really excited that I finally found good lighting and managed to take a good picture of my books! Are both favorites of Kate from Liberty Bay Books. ThatR...

Book marathons are about the best things on the planet! I thought I was going to be bogged down by all the stress but I was so wrong! They don't necessarily stress you out but make you more encourages to read more in one book. This event ran from August 3rd to August 9th on Youtube, Twitter, and Instagram. Here is my wrap up! Rounding: Up or Down? – Stories on Stage
http://zoereads.org/2015/06/rounding-up-or-down
Rounding: Up or Down? June 19, 2015. Picture yourself reading. You’ve finished a book, and you don’t know what to think about it. It’s not quite good enough to be a four-star read, but it had an epic twist at the end that made you gasp so it’s not quite a three star read either. You decide to rate it 3.5 stars, and then log on to Goodreads to write a review. But, lo and behold, apparently the Goodreads programmers haven’t gotten the memo: there are no half stars! What do you do? Laquo; The Secrets We Keep.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. On March 23, 2009 by thesirenjr. Well, I’d first like to say sorry for my recent lack of activity, I had been quite ill and am starting to finally feel better. With that out of the way I got a lot of feedback this week in regards to 2x exp weekends. So as a community scout I am asking for you guys, the WYDians, to give me some ideas on what you would like to see happen. So I am asking you to leave me some comments here or on the forums regarding this matter. 08:00 09:00...
