Live to serve: Sanity, what sanity?
http://undsrvd.blogspot.com/2009/10/sanity-what-sanity.html
Servin' my sweeties one day at a time. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Sanity, what sanity? Yesterday I was looking for my sanity all day. Maybe some of it was lost in the frantic scramble to get the knife out of reach of my extraordinarily tall son perched on the kitchen stool while I was preparing lunch. Or maybe it was when the too short dog copied her human sidekick's antics ended up stealing half of Colton's lunch off the counter by way of that stool. What makes me know that they are unusually heavy?

Live to serve: April 2011

Servin' my sweeties one day at a time. Sunday, April 3, 2011. The debut of Kareena Elizabeth. This week has been a whirlwind of my normal activities, and this past 9 months have been filled with fervent praying for this labor and delivery. I write this labor story with every intention of giving God all of the Glory, as his hand was in every detail. We went to my husband's parent's house for dinner, and I ate a ton, just in case. That was a blessing. And I even kept it down! My back was aching and I was c...

Live to serve: November 2010
http://undsrvd.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Servin' my sweeties one day at a time. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Baby #4's anticipated forthcoming. Last week we found out that we are having a girl. As I took in the news, flashes of pink laundry, and Colton being surrounded by girls was the first thing to flood my mind. What little talents will she posess? Will she love puzzles, music, singing, drawing, being outside or inside? So at my ultrasound, I asked the tech if he could clear up my due date. My doc thinks I'm about a week ahead of what i th...

My Della Santa Steel Road Bike. Monday, March 30, 2009. It's getting time to polish off my Della Santa steel bike and get ready for a great spring riding season. Hopefully the year will start off on a better track - last year my chain jumped the rear cassette causing my classic Campagnolo derailleur to collaspe into the spokes. This ended up being a big mess. Reno Pho Restaurant Reviews. Wednesday, May 05, 2010. As an exciting new post for springtime, I thought I'd give my two cents into the wild variety of Pho restaurants in Reno. I'm a certified Pho addict and could eat the delicious soupy soup everyday. Maybe you were wondering which pho restaurant in Reno is the best? 3 out of 5. 3 out of 5. 2 out of 5. Asian Noodles, near Costco in Central Reno, seems to always be busy at lunch, and for good reason. They offer a variety of soups and noodle dishes asi...

I Don't Normally Post Food Reviews. But I Couldn't Help It. Wednesday, August 04, 2010. Trader Joe's prepackaged cinnamon rolls are absolutely amazing. Seriously. I think they are the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. They are in the refrigerated section near the biscuits. Just pop the rolls in the oven and you're on your way. Wow I need more of these. Paradise Lake Backpacking Trip. Thursday, July 29, 2010. This past weekend, Heather and I took a trip up the PCT north of Donner Lake to Paradise Lake. We've never really backpacked in that area and took a tip from a friend to try it out. The trip to the trailhead nearly as exciting as the hike itself. Our trusty 4Runner shaved 3 miles off a boring hike to the PCT trailhead. The best part? Gotta love the 4Runner. After a generally unenjoyable night, I had about 40 bites. That was it. Thursday, August 21, 2008. I hate voting season. I hate the political banners strung on fences, television commercials, and radio ads. They are all worthless to me. From a marketers point of view, this idea of mass marketing only pushes people like me further away from the candidates. Then there are the issues. Environment, social justice, the economy, the war, taxes - the list goes on. The irony of it all? I hate "who are you voting for" conversations. Honestly. It'll only end up in arguments.
