A Storehouse Full: An overdue update on life
http://littlebabybump.blogspot.com/2015/06/an-overdue-update-on-life.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2015. An overdue update on life. Well, it seems quite some time has passed since I last sat down to write a post here! Anna's Strawberry Shortcake birthday party in May. With her 6th birthday came some new privileges (like reading instead of nap time and getting to watch certain movies), and also the added responsibility of helping me with laundry. Although it does make my heart twist just a little seeing her out there doing her chores like a big kid! Once a month, many ex-pats from t...

A Storehouse Full: February 2015

Thursday, February 26, 2015. The trouble with honesty. Recently, Anna and Levi have both caused me to arrive at a point of conflict within myself. They used different means, but my quandary was the same. What do you do when your child comes clean about disobedience? I was cleaning the kitchen table, and happened to look out of the window in time to catch Anna doing something she knew she shouldn't be doing. The gloomy "Yehhhss mommaaaa.". Levi, how come Anna's candy bag is in your bed? Where did it go?

Friday, January 17, 2014. Apenun, nem bilong me Esta na me stap gut. Hi, my name is Esther and I am doing well. Not impossible, as evidenced by the lump in my throat as I remember being there! Our send-off the Sunday before we left, and the prayers that we still feel holding us. Enjoying one last snack together at the airport playplace, courtesy (of course) of Aunt Tiffy :). The drive home to Kudjip from the airport in Mount Hagen - on their knees in the Land Cruiser with arms dangling out of the window!

A Storehouse Full: December 2013
http://littlebabybump.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 4, 2013. As we raised our support during the summer and fall, we realised that from a financial standpoint we were still on track to move by the end of November. God has truly amazed us during the fundraising process, and it's been both humbling and encouraging to see the group of people He has drawn around us to support us through funding, prayer or both. We are fully funded! My packing is able to happen in a more relaxed and methodical way with more time to spend on it, which I know...

A Storehouse Full: September 2013
http://littlebabybump.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 23, 2013. I intended to write about our first week of homeschooling before starting our second, but we just moved out of our house and my weekend didn't have enough sanity in it to include blogging :). Yes, we started school the week before moving house, and in the middle of the chaos of boxes and packing and lists and Goodwill trips, we had a great week! I am so excited that our journey into school at home started well. And then we're done! Oh, and we don't do school on Fridays :).

It's the Willard Way of Life...: All the Leaves are Fallin...

Friday, November 9, 2012. All the Leaves are Fallin. He loved using the big rake. We collected all the leaves into a big pile and let them play. It is amazing how much joy a big pile of leaves can bring! I only hope it can be this joyful when they get older and have to do it for real! Ready Set. Go! Let the rolling begin! I think this one is going to have to be blown up. Might be one of my favorite pictures. You can just see how much fun he is having! This one might have to get framed too!

A Storehouse Full: April 2014
http://littlebabybump.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 26, 2014. A couple weeks ago, I posted some of my thoughts on the season of learning that I and my family are in (you can read the post here. I described feeling vulnerable, not being in control, and facing the choice between giving up (easy to do, but results in continued incompetence) and persevering (the more difficult road, but one which brings growth, character and hope). What do these events have in common that is shaping me right now? Leaning on others and receiving help is not som...

A Storehouse Full: March 2014
http://littlebabybump.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 29, 2014. Now, I know one could argue that our entire lives should be spent learning; being teachable and willing to learn is part of having a flexible character that can adapt well to change. While I do agree, I also think there are times in life that require more learning than others. And it is hard! To also take care of myself in amongst all of that - and now I need to relearn that process for our family of five, including starting totally from scratch for the fifth member! In giving u...
