I will of course include so-called solutions that have failed. Problem- Students reeking of marijuana and consistently being high. Solution- To entire class: Morning everyone, just to let you know someone smells of weed. Here is some Febreeze, please spray yourself and consider not getting high before school. Saturday, February 18, 2012. We recently finished up a study on penguins with my kinders and 1st graders. Students had to create a pinch-pot penguin and painted it. I found the idea on Patty's site; www.Deep Space Sparkle.com- thanks Patty! They turned out super cute and I displayed them in our winter wonderland display case. And the kids loved making them. Monday, July 1, 2013. Summer School Session 2: Off to a bang. We are now into the second two week session of summer school. With my new group of kiddos we started out with the bird bath project again- it's such a fun and cute project. On day two I showed the students two different ways to make a container. One way was using rectangles and squares to create a box and the other way was to connect a long rectangle together to create a cylinder. Both techniques use the slab rolling construction method.
