Sunday, October 14, 2012. Sweet Potato and Bean Chili. I don't know about you, but I am definitely not ready for winter! It has snowed twice so far here in Anchorage, but thankfully it's melted away both times. Well, almost completely away. Our back deck still has about an inch of snow to go, but I'm thinking it will disappear as the week goes on, at least one can hope! My faithful search engine found exactly what I was looking for, Sweet Potato Chili! Sweet Potato and Bean Chili. 2 tablespoons olive oil.

Tuesday, March 15, 2011. White Bean Soup with Sautéed Shrimp and Garlic Croutons. I think this is by far one of the most complicated recipes I've made since cooking on my own. The most daunting meal I've ever made was making my first turkey for Thanksgiving! That was just an odd experience, but it was well worth the fuss and muss. This is what that recipe was all about. Time. It took a long time and careful watching, but gosh it was worth it! I'll never buy stuff from the store again! 1 tsp kosher salt.

Saturday, September 18, 2010. Dilled Fettuccine with Whiskey-Crab Sauce. So for my last day in Indiana I wanted to make something special for lunch. Browsing through one of the cookbooks I'd received. It's very creamy, almost like Alfredo. I would add more dill to the dish as I didn't feel that I tasted it at all. It was good and I liked the bits of green onion that kind of burst in my mouth with flavor. We paired it with a delicious crusty bread and butter! The sauce tastes nothing like whiskey in case.
