The Snail's Trails

Friday, 19 December 2014. Yes readers, I know I said there would be no post today, but we do have Internet because we are home! We set off this morning early heading for Wallangarra, but decided that as we would be getting there at about 10:30am and we didn't feel like sitting around in a field twiddling our thumbs all day, we would go the whole hog and just go home. We got home at about 3:45pm, just unpacked the essentials, the rest can wait until tomorrow. Wednesday, 17 December 2014. We got away quite...

The Snail's Trails: Mildura

http://www.thesnailstrails.blogspot.com/2014/12/mildura.html

Sunday, 7 December 2014. We had an easy day today, lazed around a bit in the morning. Then we went down to the river timing it perfectly as the PS Melbourne was just departing from the lock. We walked across to the weir then had a look at other parts of the river before lunch and then had a lazy afternoon. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Snail's Trails: West Wyalong to Dubbo

http://www.thesnailstrails.blogspot.com/2014/12/west-wyalong-to-dubbo.html

Wednesday, 17 December 2014. West Wyalong to Dubbo. We had a 7:00am start and set off for Dubbo. Boy, that double shot ice coffee is a life saver! A very hot day 38C again so it was a bit of a tedious drive, but we got to Dubbo well before lunch. We got set up then went into town to get supplies and were disappointed to find that the Aldi here didn't sell liquor. We have changed plans and are heading for Tamworth in the morning. The Snail's Trails: Nyah to Echuca

http://www.thesnailstrails.blogspot.com/2014/12/nyah-to-echuca.html

Wednesday, 10 December 2014. We had a steady drive down to Echuca arriving at lunch time. We got set up and then took a walk into town. Had a look at the old historical port area then got lunch and replenished our rations. Great place, nice town with lots of character, we are going to enjoy staying here. Tomorrow we are going to have a cruise on a paddle steamer - watch this space! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We moved here from New Zealand in February 2006. View my complete profile.

The Snail's Trails: Echuca

http://www.thesnailstrails.blogspot.com/2014/12/echuca.html

Wednesday, 10 December 2014. Very windy today so we took our awning in this morning before we went out. We later bumped into the couple in the caravan next to us who told us they lost their awning - ripped off by the wind right over the top of their van! Murray River and Port of Echuca. The Wood-Fired Steam Engine of the Canberra. Off to Bendigo tomorrow, the last place to see before making the slow journey home. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
