Our Garden: October 2011
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 28, 2011. This is my tallow rendering set up in the backyard. While Texas is sweating it out with the cardinals on TV I figured I could get a few things done. So I'm rendering Tallow and hulling the black walnuts our incredibly awesome mailman/neighbor brought over. He is the coolest mailman I have ever met, and I look forward to when he gets his first baby chicks for his yard. My Walnut hulling set up. Links to this post. Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Our Garden: Ouch!
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2013/05/ouch.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. So I lost track of blogging once again, but with good reason, and I am back at it now. My neck is recovering a lot faster than we thought and I'm able to pick up Rue. Elsie is a bit tricky, due her size and tendency to thrash around wildly. We snuggle on the sofa now. Before all this neck stuff I had some posts to put up. My favorite being our trip to the Sculpture park. Standing in my favorite sculpture from when I was little, someone put a heart in the middle. A long walk to green.

Our Garden: Soup
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2013/05/soup.html
Friday, May 31, 2013. Tonight was one of those nights when you don't realize it but you've lost track of one of your kids and yes, she's doing something terrible. I was upstairs tending to the screaming baby, and Jon was feeding the dogs, and we each thought the other was watching Elsie. Left alone for a total of maybe 5 minutes, Elsie did this. Eggy soup, with lemon, for my tea party.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). And then there were three. The Reluctant Hippie Family. A long walk to green.

Our Garden: Birth
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2013/05/birth.html
Thursday, May 16, 2013. I used to wonder if there is any meaning to a child born at night verses the day. Will they sleep better or worse, will they be difficult or easy? Does an easy birth signify an easy child? I've decided none of it matters. God has formed this child the way he sees fit, the way he wants her to be, and to arrive on his schedule (oh the never ending struggle of surrender). I still like having my babies during the day. Mostly modified old dresses and slips of mine, but they cover her completely, and I love that she's learning to feel pretty with more instead of less. Links to this post. Thursday, December 1, 2011. Our Garden: June 2012
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 25, 2012. For Father's Day Annie and I took Texas to play Golf. Please note I have never played or even watched golf. We went to a litle family course and I was surprised to realize it's actually fun. It's going to take me a while to get the hang of it, but Annie is awesome! Links to this post. Saturday, June 23, 2012. Links to this post. Elsie helping in the Garlic patch. I did a boarder of flowers around the outside of the stump where the soil was to shallow to handle vegetables. Our Garden: February 2012
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Little Lies, the truth and a photo album of my messy house. This is Annie eating Lillyroot. It happens to be her favorite food. Unfortunately it's not Lillyroot. I don't even know what Lillyroot is. I have been lying to my daughter for over a year now. I don't know what started it, but one day Annie came home and said she hated onions. I didn't understand. She loves onions. Always has. Why the change? Elsie is discovering a passion for sticky mess and couldn't be happier.

Our Garden: The trouble with paridise
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2013/06/the-trouble-with-paridise.html
Wednesday, June 5, 2013. The trouble with paridise. You know that sweet adorable baby I was just talking about? Well, I was wrong. Yes, she smiles, is incredibly cute and has an easy laid back personality (for a baby), but she just crawled under the coffee table. Yep, honeymoon OVER. Just one week shy of turning 5 months and the little bugger can get away from me. This is what I get for telling everyone how great she is. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Garden: November 2011
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Yes It's the day after Thanksgiving and Annie is outside in a T-shirt. We are having some seriously unseasonal weather, but at least we're taking advantage of it. Annie spent the day singing and swinging on her play set, while Texas and I decorated the outside of the house for Christmas. Annie's angel is not in our outdoor decor, but Annie wanted to bring her outside to see the lights. Have I told you I love my insanely talented Husband? Links to this post. Jake is all clean...

Our Garden: April 2012
http://maddannie.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 29, 2012. Need a bigger spoon? This kid cannot get enough Kefir! Links to this post. Thursday, April 26, 2012. All over the Island of Kauai are wild Chickens. They are in the park, on the beach, hanging out at the Walmart, right outside our back door. It was the coolest thing Annie and I had ever seen. It made me want to let a flock of chickens loose at home. Unfortunately there are too many predators here for them to survive. The roosters are stunning. This one had a thing for Annie's dress.
