Check a few of the comments I received below. But first, lets move to the actual battle and see who won. Because unfortunately, someone must win, and someone must lose. In the third round, many expressed displeasure with both groups and the votes seemed to be placed begrudgingly. A few placed their vote for who they dis...

https://thesoundofonehandtyping.wordpress.com/2012/09/25/two-for-tuesday-glen-campbell
The Sound of One Hand Typing. Music, Musings, Memoir, and Madness. Two for Tuesday: Glen Campbell. I had a feeling to feature Glen Campbell this week, and went out to YouTube and picked up a couple of videos, then went to his website to research him. I was surprised to see that he finished his Farewell Tour and released his last studio album, Ghost on the Canvas. I had forgotten that he announced last year that he was in the early stages of Alzheimer’s Disease. I dare you to get through it without tears.

What Is An “EBS Special”? – The Sound of One Hand Typing
https://thesoundofonehandtyping.wordpress.com/what-is-an-ebs-special
The Sound of One Hand Typing. Music, Musings, Memoir, and Madness. What Is An “EBS Special”? I’ve made references to “EBS Specials” a number of times on this blog, and every time I do, someone asks me what it is. Rather than explain it every time I bring it up, I decided to give it its own page. EBS, of course, refers to the Emergency Broadcast System. An EBS Special, therefore, is a song so awful that you’d rather listen to an obnoxious attention signal and an ominous message written by the FCC. Decembe...

Programming Note – The Sound of One Hand Typing
https://thesoundofonehandtyping.wordpress.com/2015/08/13/programming-note
The Sound of One Hand Typing. Music, Musings, Memoir, and Madness. The other day I posted a video of Glen Campbell on. A night where Jay Leno (still with dark hair) was substituting for Johnny. In the video, Glen was singing Frank Ifield’s “I Remember You.”. Say a prayer for Glen. From what I understand, he’s in a long-term care facility and is no longer able to speak for himself. I featured Glen on Two for Tuesday on September 12, 2012. August 13, 2015. 2 thoughts on “Programming Note”. September 3, 2016.

The Sound of One Hand Typing. Music, Musings, Memoir, and Madness. This Has Not Been a Good Day (or, Another Trip to the Dentist). I’ve talked about my latest dental issues, where I’ve needed two crowns. Today was the day I went to have the two of them seated on my teeth. Driving over, Mary said, “I bet you’ll be out in less than an hour.” I wish I had taken that bet. Makes their job easier and the crown fit better. Okay, fine. After ten minutes of having my mouth full of the silicone they use to take th...
