Sunday, January 8, 2012. Boys Will Be Boys. This happened one evening when Joe and I were in our bedroom talking after Joe had a long day at work. We were enjoying the peace and quiet the kids were giving us.well, that is until Lauren ran upstairs all out of breath saying, "The boys are in the kitchen and they made a HUGE MESS! You can't really see in the photos, but there are 2 more packages of flour and a bag of sugar on the counter where they got the initial bag.that would have been WAAAAY worse!

I fell about 7-10 times and Joe fell about hmm.zero times! Though it was somewhat of a mind-over-matter (emotions) kind of thing, I did have a good time and am so glad I made it out alive! It seemed like we could have just turned around and been satisfied with our vacation, but the journey continued the next day when we met Joe's sister at the airport and flew out west. Joe was able to celebrate his first birthday with his family in a very very long time! Joe's Grandpa Fish passed away January 16th and finally joined his sweet Grandma Fish after nearly 5 years without her. He was able to drive out to Utah with his sister Angie for the funeral service. I can only offer belated apologies to my dear cherub Scarlett, whose 3rd birthday I neglected to muse about several months ago. She is no less loved. I will someday go back and post things to those days to make it look as though I was keeping up all along. For now: Our boy is six! It is far too old. He is growing much too fast.
