The Spotted Cat: Why
http://thespottedcat.blogspot.com/2014/10/why.html
Home of The Healthy Harpy. Monday, October 20, 2014. And I still think of them that way. As more details are released and the public learns about the problems the family had with their son, tongues have started to wag. Ridiculous statements of “Oh, I wasn’t at all surprised,” and “How could they not see the warning signs? Normally when something dreadful happens, I feel better when I know why. You’re welcome to think whatever you want. You’re also welcome to keep your mouth shut. View my complete profile.
The Spotted Cat: Stuff and Things

Home of The Healthy Harpy. Monday, October 6, 2014. Okay, two things: (1) holy crap, it’s already October and (2) I’m feeling updatey. While celebrating the former, because we are so over these summer temperatures that won’t go away. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. There was an error in this gadget. The Spotted Cat: Hiking!
http://thespottedcat.blogspot.com/2014/09/hiking.html
Home of The Healthy Harpy. Monday, September 29, 2014. The loops themselves were fascinating. We had learned from a short film at the Nature Center that the trails cross through ecotomes where forest transitions into grassland, and these areas are weirdly pretty (Exhibit B). Exhibit B: Prairie Loop ecotome. Exhibit D: Nifty marsh area. Also, Brian's elbow. Exhibit E: Lake view from the top of the gnarly hills. Exhibit F: So green! Photo credit to Brian Landis. The Spotted Cat: The Garden
http://thespottedcat.blogspot.com/2014/10/the-garden.html
Home of The Healthy Harpy. Monday, October 27, 2014. We've had unseasonably warm weather in southwest Oklahoma for the past few weeks. This should make me rather crabby because October is my favorite month due to its normally crisp prettiness, but this year I don’t mind as much. Why? The garden loves it. Our vegetables and flowers are making the most of this extra warmth, which makes me smile every time I set foot out the door. So, what did we plant this year? Let me show you. For us so we could expand o...

The Incredible Shrinking Man: Missing Posts
http://landisms.blogspot.com/2014/07/missing-posts.html
Fitness, cycling, photography, woodworking, and anything else that catches my eye for a few minutes. Sunday, July 27, 2014. I don't know what happened at Blogger HQ over the last while, but my old blog disappeared. It's a bit of a shame since a lot of that was content I'd written and never posted anywhere else, but it was probably pretty self-indulgent anyway. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). How to Find Out What Youre Made Of.

Fitness, cycling, photography, woodworking, and anything else that catches my eye for a few minutes. Monday, July 28, 2014. How to Find Out What You're Made Of. I've been pretty much completely missing in action from the internet this year. I haven't made a post on this blog in a very long time. I haven't made a blog entry at www.myfitnesspal.com. I was discovering what I was made of. Heather's write up is here: http:/ thespottedcat.blogspot.com/2014/07/700-grams-of-suck.html. Heather has been infertile ...

Cranky Fitness: November 2014
http://www.crankyfitness.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
November 24, 2014. Photo: original source unknown. Now its all over the freakin web. I know that meditation and other forms of mindfulness are good for me. But I have a horrible time sticking with any sort of regular practice. Anyone else? So last time I checked in on this topic, I had bailed on meditating again. Why? Because I was under too much stress. Yep, what an awesome reason to ditch one of the most well-proven stress reduction methods on the planet! November 20, 2014. Guest Post by Heather Lee.
The Incredible Shrinking Man: August 2014

Fitness, cycling, photography, woodworking, and anything else that catches my eye for a few minutes. Thursday, August 21, 2014. Project: Large Wooden Planter for Green Onions. In my last post. I mentioned that while Heather. This is the basic design I came up with. The planter is made from just a few basic components. The top and bottom rails of the planter. The decorative top moulding (OPTIONAL). I then took a cove bit and carved out a simple cove on the outside face of the rail. For the bottom rail...

The Incredible Shrinking Man: October 2013
http://landisms.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Fitness, cycling, photography, woodworking, and anything else that catches my eye for a few minutes. Wednesday, October 23, 2013. Motivation, Will, and a Little NSV. I'm coming up on one of my milestone goals. I arbitrarily set them every 25lbs, so I'd have 10 "Milestones" on my total journey from 475 to 225. I'm getting close to 350, which is the halfway point. I guess that makes this a. Instead of a milestone goal. It's not because I'm tired. I'm not. Prodding, I bought a pair of new shirts. I had ...

Fitness, cycling, photography, woodworking, and anything else that catches my eye for a few minutes. Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Neil Armstrong, Halfway There. Today is one of those big days for me. You know the ones I mean. This morning, I stepped on the scale and it read 350. As of this morning, I have lost 125 pounds from my highest weight. As of this morning, I am now halfway to my goal weight of 225. More than it has already before it's over. But I'm halfway there. I came to work, bouncing in my sho...
