We will focus on one Starfish child in need of surgery in hopes that our friends following this child’s story will want to help our current "Rising Star" by donating to their surgery and helping us spread the word about the child's need. We plan to follow the child on this blog for up to one year after surgery.

Tuesday, May 17, 2011. S loves to put on anyone else's shoes. Doing a little headband display. We'll work on the proper use of these some other day. First nail session with Mommy. She insisted on it once she saw big sister A.'s pretty pink nails. We've been taking A. to an Equestrian classes. That girl is in her element when she is with horses. The girls doing a little swinging in the back yard. Her first trip around the yard with Daddy on the tractor. Looks like another future grass mower is in the works.

Saturday, April 28, 2012. A few weeks ago we had a thunderstorm that started right.at.bedtime! Of all the times. So, since then, unless I am putting Sarah to bed, she tells whoever (usually Daddy or Drew) that she is afraid. "Sarah scared! It doesn't matter that there's no storm occurring at the moment. Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Awful, Just Plain Awful. I don't know how things work in your house, but around here there's lots of singing. It's not always well done either. But, it's live and in person. So, it comes in all shapes and sizes, depending on the moment. It adds levity. It reduces stress. It makes the older kids' eyeballs roll all around their heads. Tuesday, April 24, 2012. Ever since Sarah joined our family, she has always folded her little hands to pray with us. I attribute it to the miracle that where she lived, Shepherd's Field, was a group foster care facility run by a Christian couple. At each dinner when Harry says it's time to pray, she bursts out, "Sarah pray! So, either before or after Harry, she prays, too. Also, at any point throughout our day when I say it's time to pray, she has to have her turn. April 24, 2012 at 11:15 PM.
