Tin Soldiering On: April 2014
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 23 April 2014. The 18th Regiment Of Foote . (Royal Irish). Well I've finally got them finished! There was a slight hold up due to my gas bottle running out and needing replacing . Sorry for the rather poor lighting in these photos , I had to photograph them on my table during the daytime with the sun streaming through the window - which does strange things to the colours! The Drummers should have mitre caps really , but I thought this was a conversion too far! Sunday, 13 April 2014. I've had s...

Tin Soldiering On: November 2013
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Friday, 29 November 2013. Revenge Of The Saxons (Parte One). The title of this episode sounds like a 1960's 'B' movie! To celebrate the completion up to strength of the Legion Britannique Col. Scheither has decided to use them on a raid into French territory assisted by his Carbineers and Jaegers . Col Blunnte watches as the newly varnished regiment advances . The French informed of this raid hurry a force forward to intercept them . Col Blunnte (left) and Col. Scheither urge their force onwards! They us...

Tin Soldiering On: Sunday Morning Varnishing.
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2014/04/sunday-morning-varnishing.html
Sunday, 13 April 2014. I usually try to varnish figures on a Sunday morning whilst there is nobody else about - especially animals! I've had several disasters with cat fur attached to figures and the 'incident of the dog and the varnished SYW figures' is best forgotten or 'glossed' over! 13 April 2014 at 06:55. How easy is the yacht varnish to use and endure the odor? 13 April 2014 at 07:55. 13 April 2014 at 08:32. 13 April 2014 at 12:12. I never thought of turning them upside down! 13 April 2014 at 11:02.

Tin Soldiering On: From One Extreme To The Other.
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2014/05/from-one-extreme-to-other.html
Thursday, 1 May 2014. From One Extreme To The Other. Think this may be a symptom of my mid-life crisis - 10mm American War of Independence , Hodge the cat looks on in disbelief . They are by Kallistra and very cute! 1 May 2014 at 11:51. They look good to me. Your painting technique is a success, sir. 1 May 2014 at 12:33. Im hoping to try a painting technique like this on some 10mm and some 15mm figures I have in my lead pile. Any chance of a photo-walkthrough of your method before I start? Smarting up th...

Tin Soldiering On: Fatter Generals .
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2014/04/fatter-generals.html
Sunday, 6 April 2014. There is not that much 40mm SYWish stuff about out there and when I saw Front Rank had done some 40mm generals for their AWI range I was intrigued enough to purchase a couple . They are rather expensive but very nice , above is one of their Hessian Generals who will represent a rather more rotund General Comte D' Fru-Fru. This figure is General Howe and unlike the other figures doesn't come with a selection of alternate heads , he is to portray General Carlsburg of the Allied forces .

http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2014/04/saint-georges-day.html
Wednesday, 23 April 2014. Does one wish people a 'Merry Saint Georges Day? I always find it a bit annoying that the rest of the U.K. make a bit thing of their saints days and the English quietly forget their own , so a 'Happy Saint Georges Day' to you all! Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.com. 23 April 2014 at 04:44. And here am I never minding St George and my mothers mother was a Wright and as English as you please . Tin Soldiering On: December 2013
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 December 2013. The 2014 Campaign Year. The Napoleonic collection has been mostly rebased but has NOT been used this year - sigh! I MUST get to grips with this period and start using them. The 54mm Armies have not been used as I lack scenery for them and a puppy and the weather have made playing outside with them impractical . I am looking forward to the next years gaming and will continue to report on my progress (hopefully) Here's to 2014! Monday, 23 December 2013. Merry Christmas To You All!

Tin Soldiering On: August 2013
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, 31 August 2013. Royal Irish Grenadier Company. Managed to get the rest of the Grenadier company done , the drummer should have a mitre cap but it was going to be to hard to convert him so he is as he is! I also got done a couple of higher command for my Saxon Leibgrenadiergard battalion , who seem to be having an difference of opinion over which way to advance? Friday, 30 August 2013. A Couple of Unknown Figures. Sunday, 25 August 2013. A 40mm Conversion Painted. Sunday, 18 August 2013. I'm abo...

Tin Soldiering On: 10mm A.W.I. Unit Finished.
http://tinsoldieringon.blogspot.com/2014/05/10mm-awi-unit-finished.html
Tuesday, 6 May 2014. 10mm A.W.I. Unit Finished. I've got the 10mm unit finished that I started painting in the previous posting . I was going to try photographing them outside - but as this photo was taken it started to rain! 2 British staff officers . I think I will be using 'Black Powder' for the rule set and a 'standard' unit will be of 4 or 5 bases and small units 3 bases . 14 May 2014 at 12:11. The owner of this blog seems to have moved as of May 12, 2014. You may find him here:. 15 May 2014 at 02:12.
