The Stitchin Corral: Bree's New Saddle...

http://thestitchincorral.blogspot.com/2009/09/brees-new-saddle.html

A Collector of Craft Hobbies". Saturday, September 19, 2009. After 4 years of riding in her Lime Green Ostrich Seat Billy Cook, both Bree and Tess have outgrown it. Bree was 8 and Tess was 5. It started to pinch Tess at the shoulder blades causing 'dry' spots underneath the saddle pad. Once we realized this, we ordered Bree a new Original Bob Marshall treeless saddle like our trainer uses and several folks from the barn have ordered too! Here's the pictures of the new saddle:. Now I am jealous. It is sti...

The Stitchin Corral: September 2009

http://thestitchincorral.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

A Collector of Craft Hobbies". Tuesday, September 29, 2009. It is still September, right? I swore when I looked at the calendar that it was still September! You wouldn't perhaps guess it from our weather. The thermostat said 66. So, I have been spinning! I finished Joy's fiber - I think it turned out so pretty! I will see her Wednesday to give it to her. It is a bit more 'green' that shows in this picture (I have noticed that my camera does not photograph dark greens well - wonder why that is). Just as a...

The Stitchin Corral: August 2008

http://thestitchincorral.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

A Collector of Craft Hobbies". Tuesday, August 26, 2008. After the 4H Fair was over and we recuperated - and got everything put away - which seems to take 2x as long as dragging it all out - my parents came to town -. Well Here you go:. My Dad (Bree calls him "Poppa") - surveying her technique! Bree showing Poppa how "strong" she is (She is going to kill me for posting this one - but oh well - too bad - so sad). She had a blast - She is getting so grown up! The kids (including my Brother) had a great tim...

The Stitchin Corral: Annual TN visit and boating

http://thestitchincorral.blogspot.com/2009/09/annual-tn-visit-and-boating.html

A Collector of Craft Hobbies". Friday, September 18, 2009. Annual TN visit and boating. Every year since 2003 (at least that's as far back as I have the pictures) - Bree goes to TN for a week with my folks and they do all sorts of things together - from crafts to shopping to site seeing. Here's the progression of the boat trip thru the years:. 2003 - we had to convince her to go in the water by herself at first - then she was off like a fish:. Picking on Uncle Richard was a favorite this year! I wish she...

Leigh's Quarters~~~: 3/2/08 - 3/9/08

http://qtrhorsegal.blogspot.com/2008_03_02_archive.html

Friday, March 7, 2008. It may have been storming inside, but it was storming outside as well. The first storm that came through two days ago, decided to take out the fence that keeps Cotie. In There was a good 10 foot section that was knocked out, took out the stock fencing as well as the hot tape. Well, I found it that night after I got home from work. The tree was fairly substantial. Thankfully Cotie. Monday, March 3, 2008. Wax On, Wax Off. Who in the hell invented this torture? Only when I did my Left...

Wednesday, May 14, 2008. I will be taking more pictures of Cotie for Y'all to eval again. I just have to get them done, then posted. Thanks everyone! Zelda Chokes, AGAIN. I had been pulling Zelda in before anyone else so she could "take her time" and not feel rushed and putting her in her own enclosed area. A lot of good That did. First time she choked, it was on hay alone. Dislodged that, but evidently left her throat irritated. Second time, she choked on pelleted grain. Such fun! Driften Chub aka Tink.

Wednesday, May 7, 2008. Which photo is best? I'm looking for a new picture of Cotie's head to redo the banner with. Which one looks best? Or are none of these good? May 7, 2008. Cassie. She's due in June. She's starting to want a LOT of attention from me. She's getting very picky eating and really getting to be a bit of an attention Hog. She's a sweet mare though, so it's hard to not give her the attention she desires. Not much longer to go. Sandy She decided the trees were a good place to. Which photo i...

Friday, March 14, 2008. What would you do? If you had an animal born that wasn't responding as it typically should after birth, what would you do? A Do everything in your power to save it, even though it may be for not? B Do nothing and let "nature" takes it's course? C Call the vet and pray the vet will come to the rescue? Now let's complicate the scenerio slightly. What if you call the vet and the vet couldn't or wouldn't come out to help? Then what would you do? Then what would you do? All in all, the...

Saturday, April 5, 2008. They are Legal.well almost. Dusty's" official name is: Driften Up Dust. Cow Horse Prospect. I would direct Dusty towards anything cow horse related. She is one I wouldn't hesitate to take to the show ring. She's not pushy, she's easy going, not trying to be "king of the hill", she loves attention and tries very hard to please. For Driften Up Dust. Driften Chub. HUS / H/J prospect. Now I'm waiting for the paperwork to come back complete for the BC. And they will be good to go!

http://qtrhorsegal.blogspot.com/2008_09_28_archive.html

Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Life as of late hasn't slowed down much. If anything it's gotten busier. Now normally, I'm a fairly lazy person. I would rather relax, chill with the horses, sleep, ah sleep. That's a strange concept as of late. I've lost 2 employees in less then a week, so someone has to make up the difference. Guess who got elected? LOL Oh well. At least I know that whatever needs to be done is getting done this way. Even if i don't remember what my family looks like any more. The dirtiest I...

http://qtrhorsegal.blogspot.com/2008_03_16_archive.html

Friday, March 21, 2008. It seems there's a Botulism outbreak in our area. Carol from the tack store sent me an email saying that there's been some horses that have died from this. From what the Merck Manual states, it's a horrible way for any animal to go. Merck Vet Manual - Botulism. Everyone be careful and check it! Wednesday, March 19, 2008. I felt bad for her, I know her frustration. The anger at whomever had the horse previously to allow the animal to get in such a state. This was taken 8/19/2007.

Saturday, April 12, 2008. What would you do if? When you went to where ever your horses are and you notice that your herd has increased? It appears that someone has purposely put the horses in with your own. Who would you notify? And what if this was something that was becoming common place? There's no room in any of the local shelters or they don't have the facilities for abandoned horses? Would you assume thier care? What would you do? What would be your immediate concerns? Monday, April 7, 2008. I fed...
